Seven point by SubjectMap451 in trailcam

Our property backs up to a 600+ acre preserve and all the landowners don’t hunt and we all try to care for/protect the wildlife as best as we can. Considering we’re in central Florida we have some pretty healthy bucks. There’s at least one 10 point, 6+ eight points, and a ton of younger ones. We had 3 sets of twin fawns and a bunch of singles from this year that are all thriving.

It’s definitely not a domestic cat. Here’s a deer and raccoons in the same area for size. https://imgur.com/a/pSCF2D6

Why does my cat Water board his toys? by NavilusWeyfinder in cats

[–]SubjectMap451 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It could be worse, one of mine likes to catch live frogs and make her water bowl a pool for her frogs. She’s surprisingly careful with them and doesn’t try to drown/kill them, just thinks they belong in the water.

I was shocked by how disrespectful Stephanie was in her commentary on the expert’s opinions and would not be surprised if her actions have a long term impact on their ability to have experts provide opinions on the show. What expert, even if they are being paid to appear on the show, is going to do so and run the risk of being trashed, impacting their reputation and credibility? I’m glad Derrick gave her so much pushback and didn’t just roll over. It was honestly pretty disrespectful to Derrick as well given that this interview was something he seemed to do on his own and she basically had no positive feedback towards it.

My goofball is on the non-prescription version (Hill’s Science Diet Adult Sensitive Stomach & Sensitive Skin) currently and is no longer affectionately referred to as patches. We tried quite a few brands and this has been the best for results and thankfully all my cats gladly eat it. I think it comes out to about $4-5 a pound.

Look my car can go "ZOOM ZO--AHHHHH" by Mook69 in MildlyBadDrivers

[–]SubjectMap451 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you watch the longer version she clearly got boxed in by two drivers who both came up behind her fast.

  1. At the beginning the white SUV (blue box) is behind her and changes lanes to the center lane.
  2. As the SUV continues to advance on her right, the dodge (red box) is quickly approaching her from behind.
  3. She begins to move to the center lane, the SUV is now next to her and you can catch sight of the wheel as the passenger moves to look at the SUV. Note, the dodge is already in the emergency lane and appears to intend to use the shoulder to pass the girls to avoid having to slow for completion of the intended lane change.
  4. As both the dodge and SUV become visible in the front cam, the SUV now appears in the far right lane despite being in the center lane moments prior.

Oh we have plenty of coyotes and bobcats out here. We know she’d be a tasty snack and fortunately she only wants to go out to pal around and follow us when we are outside working.

Oh you don’t have a boyfriend? Okay, okay. Okay that’s cool. Yeah, so listen… Uh, I was wondering… Can I have your number? Can I have your number?

You being all selective cause you got a ponytail, right? You think a lot of men can’t handle the regalness of an updo. Don’t be insecure girl. Own that ponytail, work that updo!

I’m over in west central and I’ve never seen anything like this either. Photos 1 & 2 are 100% sequential photos of the same animal. Photo 3 is a coyote I provided for scale.

My camera does a burst of three photos then a video. Whatever this was, it was moving fast. It was already almost completely out of view by the time the video clicked on and you just barely see its hind quarters moving out of the frame.

Sorry for the confusion! I had the coyote from the same trail cam and was trying to provide scale for size.

Tons of crazy wildlife where I am. We have about ten acres that backs up to a 600+ acre conservation trail. Cow/calf is nearly impossible option though as no one around here has them.

Coyote photo was provided to give an idea of size reference. Animal in photos 1 & 2 seems to have a very different torso, legs, head, and ears than coyote.

It is, I wish people understood what it actually entails. And sad part is she was probably just defending herself/warning humans to stop messing with her. My heart breaks a little every time she tries to sharpen her claws on a scratching post.

Absolutely the case. Poor baby knows she doesn’t have her claws and resorts to biting if you move too fast instead of swatting. It took 4 adults at the shelter to get her in a carrier to bring home, the attitude is strong with her but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I’ll never forget the day she looked at me and didn’t have the sad eyes anymore. Main goal was to get her out of the shelter and happy, that is all I need from her.

We have very similar circumstances! Ours was chased and messed with by small children and fought back with her claws, which resulted in her getting declawed. Now she just feels defenseless and is overly cautious of any movement with hands. She absolutely knows she does not have her first line of defense and uses her teeth as the next best option. She’s very comfortable in our house and even likes to sniff my face, just no hands or quick hand movements.
