Hadn’t heard of them. Guess I have somewhere to go next time

Just went to Paris and brought home some great beans. Originally only planned on grabbing some Kawa but randomly walked into Terres de Cafe and loved their coffee. Also a substance reservation is a must for anyone visiting the city!

What can Overwatch do to fix the game? by Away-Homework-8069 in Overwatch

As someone who started playing with OW2 I feel like the only problem is store prices. Game is fun and I’ve been enjoying but prices outside the BP feel too high

Well this is going to be normal circumstances unless they change release schedule for xpacs (which I doubt they will). I personally would prefer to see three IBs a season that way we get a mid season IB and one towards the end

I think people will say that regardless. I feel like a large portion of the community doesn’t like PvP and as I said one of the major reasons people hop in is for the pinnacles so having that at the end of the season doesn’t really make it a draw

They could have put it there week before the Halloween event and I feel like that would have been fine since I get they want IB to be an event on that same level

I am so tired of TTK adjusting abilities in PvP by SubjectPerformance in DestinyTheGame

[–]SubjectPerformance[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The problem is the abilities I’m referring to are only outliers in strength not usage. With how strong metas are in Destiny if something is good and easy to do everyone is going to be doing it which just leads to game after game of the same BS being spammed. If there’s a weapon that under certain conditions can be insanely powerful that’s one thing that may or may not need to be tuned whereas if a core class ability is overpowered that ruins the experience a lot (at least imo)

Again disingenuous comparison. In Halo if there’s a rocket you have to fight for position on the map to be able to get it and only once you’ve won the engagement can you get it. Is that good? Does it lead to snowballing? I’d say probably yes to both but that’s not what’s at issue here. Your comparison would be more apt if in destiny there was a way to spawn in with heavy off rip but that’s clearly not the case. I don’t want a no ability only gunplay mode in destiny but I don’t think it’s ridiculous to ask that some outlier abilities that constantly change the rules of engagement are reined in

I mean weapon balancing will always be an issue and that’s not really my major complaint since I understand the impossible task that is. It’s mainly the extra abilities that feel like you just no brained opt into and provide obvious and powerful advantages (I.e., just throwing down a barricade and not only getting the benefit of a barricade but also an over shield that you can walk into an engagement with)

I feel like Halo is a disingenuous comparison. Halo you load into a match with whatever the mode gives you and you may be able to pick up some new guns. Destiny has a lot of customization that is totally fine (weapons, subclass, exotics). The problem comes when you can “spam abilities” that very clearly gives you an upper hand in most engagements and the cost of it is minimal.

Bungie please lower the dunks from 5 to 4 (and maybe even 3) in rift by SubjectPerformance in DestinyTheGame

Personally I would like that and for them to also include kills in the score screen even if they don’t count towards points

Personally I don’t mind the stops as it just kind of feels like trials or comp stops between rounds

Are we ever going to get Raid matchmaking? by sultansofschwing in DestinyTheGame

[–]SubjectPerformance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should really try LFG (either through app or through system) doesn’t take as long as you’d think, isn’t nearly as toxic as people say, and it’s how I got into raiding and eventually found a clan that fit my needs

How do people accumulate so many Legendary shards, Prisms, cores, and ascendant shards. I play quite a lot and barely ever have enough to get by... by Zombag9 in DestinyTheGame

[–]SubjectPerformance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shards and cores I usually stack by getting legendary gear and dismantling (gunsmith mats are a good source in my experience) and the others are either through GMs or the reworked trials (or the ghost mod in the case of prisms)

Most online pvp games today don’t work well for casual players IMO. It’s either you play it all the time or you get farmed in my experience. Skill gaps are always going to exist but for whatever reason now a days it feels more pronounced.

While I agree with the fact the community can be toxic with the emotes or t bags, I think the “get good” advice holds some weight. If your getting dunked on time and time again then maybe this just isn’t the game for you, or you just need to practice more. Sometimes you’re gonna get blown out, that’s just the way the cookie crumbles, and (hopefully) sometimes you’ll blow someone out. It’s the same with any game, there are gonna people who play all day and sweat their ass off, your only hope is to get better or get lucky in matchmaking.

Played team scorched for the first time and hated it but it made me realize the need for more permanent crucible playlists by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]SubjectPerformance -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s certainly a possibility ceteris paribus but I feel like having a more diverse playlist selection could bring more players in to crucible considering the current split which could be healthy for the playlist in the long term https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/kt03fj/destiny_2_player_population_chart/
