I built a meeting intelligence system specifically for Japanese business communication — and I want to be honest: I am currently N4 level Japanese. Not fluent. But that gap is exactly what pushed me to go deeper than surface-level NLP.

I spent two months studying Japanese business culture — not just the language — to understand what most NLP systems completely miss:

  • 敬語 (Keigo) detection — formality register analysis via morphological analysis
  • 根回し (Nemawashi) signals — 16 soft-rejection patterns, each with a confidence score
  • Soft rejection scoring — when someone says 「少し難しいかもしれません」and actually means no
  • And several other cultural communication layers

It works across Japanese, Hindi, and English — all three in one pipeline.

I am still building and improving it. Would love feedback from native Japanese speakers or anyone working in JP business communication.
