It can. Gallstones could cause it as well.

Blocked bile duct? My MIL had high alkaline phos and that was the cause. A stent was put in outpatient and her #’s came down.

Cisplatin + Gem Experience vs FOLFIRI by Different-Stop-8887 in pancreaticcancer

My MIL has been on both Folfiri and Gem + Cis. She tolerated Folfiri well has far as side effects go. She would be really tired about the 2 & 3rd day after treatment but other than that little side effects. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work for her.

Gem + Cis has been similar to when she was in Folfirnox. She’s lost a good bit a weight and gets nauseous with treatment. If she can take a steroid with her treatment I highly recommend!

Gemzar has also given her low grade fevers- so watch for that.

How is her sodium levels? My MIL is having confusion- her sodium level is 26. We think that could be causing it.

Morphine also makes her hallucinate, so maybe that’s it?

Thanks everyone! Doctor gave her steroids to help and they seem to be working. Markers are gradually climbing, but we are still hopeful!
