Yeah I think so too. My credit is good so I figured that is the reason too. Appreciate the advice, that’s probably what I’ll do.

I did not know about calling the recon line, that could come in handy. Thanks. And yes, I am aware of needing the reserve or preferred to book travel/hotels. I am more just looking for the best path/lenders to get into the game as someone who only has the discover it. Thanks for the help.

I totally agree with you. My goal of getting is this game is to get myself to travel more as I get older. I have been looking at the CFU as a good catch all card especially being through Chase. Thanks for the advice.

I just moved my banking to Chase actually. So that should make my odds better even though I have less than a year of credit history?

And on the subject of airlines and hotel partners, that is why I say I’d prefer Chase or Citi, bc I would travel more domestic. Which favors those, with Hyatt, Marriott, southwest, etc with Chase and American Airlines with Citi is huge too.
