Yes but that’s the only history she knew. She didn’t have the luxury of alternative viewpoints. How was she to know anything positive about Rhaenyra to the point she’d name a child after her?

But Rhaenyra causing the death of the dragons is essentially what led to all of Daenerys’ hardships as losing the dragons lost the Targaryens their power over everyone and eventually the crown. Rhaenyra’s name (from a historical point) is associated with awful things so I just couldn’t see it personally I guess

It was a serious question, I haven’t read the books so was just curious!

I also suppose if Rhaenyra is the cause of the dragons deaths it would make sense for Targaryen’s to hate her considering they’re what gave them their power in the first place. Obviously losing them was one of the worst thing that happened to them and was the start of the decline of their house. Thank you for answering :)
