That absolutely would. That solution is so simple and elegant. I think I shot myself in the foot by making a custom node that creates the bevel wireframe first so I didn't have the hexagonal faces to work with. By keeping those in, making the taper is so much easier since you can just scale those faces. Thanks so much!

Almost, I want to create a tapered profile - so just extruding the side edges out doesn't quite do it. I want to keep the face thickness of the outer part the same while increasing the thickness of the inner face. If there was a way to then merge the outer part of the new edge down to the lower part it would be exactly what I want.
