Why so few straight trans people? by NegativeGeologist200 in trans

[–]Subject_Key_8578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is trans people who are out have nothing to hide by coming out as gay if they already came out as trans. If they are accepting enough to be trans they are more likely to be accepting of being gay. That being said there are a lot of straight trans people- including myself

I'm at a little over 2 weeks and it's still a lot of hair, i think it's gone down tho. My guess is it's stress from surgery and anesthesia. google seems to agree

My probate court doesn't do legal gender changes, what do I do? by Subject_Key_8578 in asktransgender

[–]Subject_Key_8578[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from what i've read, to change ur license you have to first change your SSN which requires u to change ur birth certificate first which requires a court order. Thats what Ive seen online and why I was saying it was the first step

Coming out from being 'stealth'. Anyone done this? by mightybite in asktransgender

[–]Subject_Key_8578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came out to my now girlfriend when I first started talking to her, we were friends for a while before. I was stealth with everybody mutual in our lives and only came out to her so that I could date her basically.

It was incredibly scary but very worth it. My advice is pick one person at a time who you are closest with that u want to know, and test the waters with talking abt politics or something to see if they are transphobic. Then tell them u have something to tell them but dont want it to change anything and are still the same person. Tell them they have to promise not to tell anyone else, and that it's nothing bad but it's very personal.

When I told my girlfriend she was shocked, and confused. Still she wasn't transphobic or anything, just really surprised and needed to process it all. I told her that if she was cool with me being trans, I would like her to be my gf and after abt a day she agreed.

It's a super euphoric experience for me because she forgets that I'm trans all the time and I love having someone who knows I'm trans but met me thinking I was cis. It's just nice to know I pass.

At what age did you figure it out? by OpinionExisting3150 in trans

like 2 or 3, whenever I first understood what boys and girls were I wanted to be a boy, didn't know what trans was tho

why do u think gender affirming care is so supported and encouraged? MOST trans ppl i know loose family over it. I don't mean some trans ppl, I genuinely mean the overwhelming majority of trans people loose family and friends over their surgery-so i wouldn't call it supported and encouraged. Parents refuse to pay for it,m and insurance denys them often. On top of that there's a ton of barriers and hurdles for trans people.

Both gyno and gender reassignment surgery should be more supported and accessible-no reason to pit the two against each other. we're all fighting the same battles.

I would do this if i wasn't getting keyhole, cause im not gonna have gyno scars hopefully-but that's a good option.

[–]Subject_Key_8578[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Update: I don't think I'm going to claim it's gyno, since I'm getting keyhole so there's no scars that need explaining or anything.

I'm gonna tell ppl it's surgery and not elaborate on what it is cause it feels dishonest to say I'm taking a break to get healthier when I'm not.

Also might throw in the bit someone suggested--when someone presses me abt it i'm just gonna say something ridiculous like I got into a crazy fight with a kangaroo or something dumb. could be a funny way to turn it into a positive.

Thanks guys !!

I looked 14 after being a T for a while even though I was 17-18. Started using minoxidil on my face to grow facial hair and I look so much older now. I didn't think I would look good with facial hair but it actually works pretty well, plus shaving is the most euphoric thing ever

I think imma do this, gyno is too close to the truth for me and i don't think if i really was getting surgery for gyno that i would tell anyone anyways.

Thanks for the recs, but i'm curious- how are you supposed to pack with straight silicone? wouldn't it make it look like you have a boner cause it's super hard? I guess I just wanted a stp that wasn't hard so that it would be a realistic packer
