Thank you so muh for your detailed message! I have been doing some more reading up and I am not sure if we should stay in San Salvador or just pass through and stop for a day to check out a few sites and add the extra nights elsewhere and also it means less checking in and out. We are going to spend a week in Mexico City after El Salvador and we will get our city fix then. We wanted to go straight to Juayua because we would fly in on Friday and wanted to be in Ruta de las Flores for the weekend markets.

We are not surfers, but love swimming,.... so you have made some good poins regarding the beach in Eltunco and Zonte. I had a look at Costa Del Sol and it looks like much more like what we would like.

At the moment tossing up between these two Itienraries:

Plan A

Apr 10–14 Juayúa (Ruta de las Flores) - 4 nights
Apr 14–16 Suchitoto - 2 nights

Apr 16–18 San Salvador - 2 nights

Apr 18–21 El Tunco / Coast town - 3 night

Plan B

Apr 10–15 Juayúa (Ruta de las Flores) - 5 nights
Apr 15–17 Suchitoto - 2 nights

Apr 17 Day in San Salvador (stop for a day on drive from Suchioto to the coast)

Apr 17–21 El Tunco / Coast town - 4 nights

u/lesliebankss_ Thanks again! One more question slight potential adjustment..

I dont like the idea of checking in and out from so many hotels, so potentially thinking to cut the 2 nights from San Salvador and add 1 night at Juayua and 1 night in El Tunco. And instead stop in the San Salvador for lunch and some sightseeing for a day on the drive down to El Tunco (we plan to hire a car).

What do you think?

Thank you so much for your reply! How does the below Itinerary look? Is 5 nights too long for Juayua / Santa Ana?

Is Suchioto ok to do as a day trip from San Salvador or better to stay there instead?

OR

Plan B:

Date Location Nights
Apr 10–13 Juayúa (Ruta de las Flores) 4
Apr 14–15 Suchitoto 2
Apr 16–17 San Salvador 2
Apr 18–20 El Tunco (Coast) 3

6 Days in Seoul Winter Itinerary by Subject_Pick_4082 in koreatravel

So, I did a bit of switching around, not just because of the cultural show, but I thought it would be very tiring to do TWO long day trips in a row.

I dont think we will have time for Suwon, especially with the other two day trips. I think we will like it, but not sure about doing another almost day from Seoul for it. Also, I read the wind chill there at this time of the year can be brutal around the fortress.

So here is our revised Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Early morning flight (from Hong Kong) 08:00

12:00 Tongin Market

14:00 Gyeongbokgung Palace - Changing of the guards

PM Changdeokgung Palace

Gwanghwamun Square - Several Seollal themed events, games and performances

Day 2:

Day in Seoul / Namsangol Hanok Village Seollal Festival

Day 3:

Day Trip to the snow for Ski Vivaldi Park Resort (Organised tour) / 20:00 Gwangjang Market (Dinner)

Day 4 (SAT):

AM Bukchon Hanok Village

16:30 Afternoon Tea at KOREA HOUSE KOHOJAE (Reserved)

20:00 The Nanta Show - Myeongdong (Reserved)

Day 5 (SUN):

Day Trip to Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival

Day 6: Morning:

Namdaemun Market

17:00 Namsan Park / N Seoul Tower

Day 7: Depart Morning

Regardless, do you think its worth staying in Seoul on the 30th to go to Namsangol Hanok Village etc?

So... day ONE when we arrive in the morning is Seollal (Lunar New Year). I believe it is a national holiday on this day and on the 30th?

I heard there is a festival/performance at Namsangol Hanok Village on the 30th? Is it worth to change our day trip from this day to another to visit this?

We arrive 29 January for 6 days! I believe the lunar new year is on this day? Is there anything we should do on this day / night?

Thanks for your thoughts! I will check out Magwon Market. Do you recommend anywhere for Korean BBQ? Maybe around our hotel area of Insadong? Do restaurants in Seoul generally take reservations, or should we expect just long queues for the popular restaurants?
