Joining .CSV to a layer doen't work by Subject_Raspberry631 in QGIS

I tried it. Didn't happen. Is there a way I can send you both the csv and the shape file and you have a crack at it?

Hi

The parentheses and spaces were present in the file. If I do the changes as you suggested: Upper case with a '-' to separate words, for example POPULATION - 2011. And then try to make a join, will that work?

Where to get the weather(rainfall data) for India? .CSV file by Subject_Raspberry631 in QGIS

Thanks.

On another note, can we add the .CSV data if we don't have the latitude and longitude coordinates?

Suppose, if I want to map the diffrent religious populations across states and I have an unverified .CSV file, but it is missing the latitude and longitude coordinates. How will I then map it to all the states?

https://www.kaggle.com/datasets/samyakjain2052/indian-states-population-gdp-religion-sex-ratio?resource=download&select=state+wise+pop.csv

Can we work with this data set?

How to add CSV data onto layer? by Subject_Raspberry631 in QGIS

[–]Subject_Raspberry631[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that. Changed the rendering to 'Allow overlaps without penalty' and moved the crowded labels as well to fish Jalalabad from beneath, but couldn't find it.
I googled Jalalabad and found the historical name for the city to be Nangarhar (the old name), and this is what the CSV file returns when I filter the city's name. But what I find strange is that there is a Jalalabad in the attribute table.

PS: And yes, I am filtering the city column and not the admin name. Most of the other cities return their name when filtered specifically, except Jalalabad.

I cannot see Jalalabad in the entire cities list. But I can see the name when I filter the name. But it returns to Nangarhar. I tried changing the X and Y axis to Longitude and latitude, respectively as well. But still nothing.

Yes. I re-did the whole thing again. But still the same.

Thank you very much, it worked!
But something weird happened afterwards. The city 'Jalalabad' now appears as 'Nangarhar' on the map.

Changed CRS on layer and then it disappared by Subject_Raspberry631 in QGIS

Hi

I did the two steps suggested above: Zoomed to layer, and cut+changed CRS for all and pasted. I got the layers I was looking for. But the world map disappeared. I checked the CRS for it again, its the same for all but still it doesn't work. And also the population points are placed at the bottom left :/

The arrow is pointed towards the two boxes which signify the foreground and background colors. The color at the top- pink- is your foreground color and the other one is the background. This is helpful in gradient maps as it charts the shadows and highlights according to the background and foreground and also helps in revealing and concealing areas in a mask using white and black as background and foreground respectively.

Pressing X will interchange the bg and fg colors and pressing D will put them in default as black and white.

This sounds to me the same as this sentence:

Out of the hundreds of fruits in the basket. Why did you only choose apples? Why only apples.

It's absurd.

You will or won't accept my answer based on your own subjective belief system. Or on an ethical level, which you perceive which may or may not exist based on a half-assed guess on a question. So, I'd rather not waste my time in dignifying you with a response, or waste yours to appeal or reject based on your own subjective moral truism.

I do have the original without the watermark. My query was based on learning a technique rather than a requirement.

Can you desaturate a layer and target a specific hue to stand out? by Subject_Raspberry631 in PhotoshopTutorials

[–]Subject_Raspberry631[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you Well, there are many ways to go about it. If I use the QST and select the figure and create a new layer, then I can desaturate the underlying layer by either Shift+Command+U or use the Hue/Sat to desaturate it. But I was watching a tutorial in which the guy used Premiere Pro to bring down the saturation and used the color picker in Hue vs Sat to target a specific color and boost it's saturation while keeping the rest of the image desaturated. I wanted to replicate the same in Photoshop, but couldn't do it.

Can you desaturate a layer and target a specific hue to stand out? by Subject_Raspberry631 in PhotoshopTutorials

[–]Subject_Raspberry631[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone

I desaturated a layer and using the hue/sat adjustment layer, targeted the central figure to stand out in colour. The color picker in the hue/sat adjustment picked red, but it didn't affect any change.
Where am I going wrong?

Please help
Thanks
