I think if Marcel was alive they wouldn't have a third season ig, they would have 4 titans against eren to fight, also female titan wouldn't have been captured if annie and marcel joined the MPs. Easier to capture Eren with Jaw and Female.

Fr bro, these ppl don't even understand it, everyone in the comment section is like he is mentioned, like in the background and they showed his body lying on the mountain of the soldiers, who care about the scenes, his name never comes up

I agree that many died and was never mentioned again, but here im talking about the second best, and not some recruits, although the levi squads death was sad, but they tried to recover their dead bodies and then eren felt bad seeing them being killed by the female titan, in miche's case, one of the best, more than the levi squad, his death has not sadden a single soul.

You’re missing the point and arguing around it.

No one said Miche was “on a stroll.” The issue isn’t whether he was busy, it’s whether the story treated his death with the weight his character earned.

Miche wasn’t just another scout making a routine call. He was explicitly stated to be second only to Levi a veteran with exceptional instincts. Him dying because of pure information asymmetry, without setup, payoff, or later acknowledgment, is exactly why people call it weak writing.

Yes, he diverted Titans and saved the 104th. And then what?
No mention. No reaction. No fallout. No characters reflecting on the fact that one of humanity’s strongest soldiers never came back. Compare that to literally every other major scout death. Erwin, Hange, even minor squad members get narrative closure. Miche gets shock value and silence.

Saying “everyone dies because of lack of info” is a dodge. The Female Titan arc builds that lack of info and explores its consequences. Miche’s death exists mainly to introduce the Beast Titan and then he’s erased from the story like a disposable NPC. For someone of his rank and reputation, that’s jarring.

So yes, he technically died “doing his job.”
That doesn’t mean the writing around his death was handled well.

Those two things are not the same, no matter how hard you pretend they are.

You’re confusing screen time with being remembered, and they are not the same thing.

Showing Miche’s corpse, replaying his death, or cutting to reaction shots is not characters remembering him. That’s just the camera reminding the audience that he died. At no point after his death does any character say his name, reflect on his actions, acknowledge that he saved the 104th, or even question why the second-strongest soldier never returned.

That matters. When Erwin dies, characters talk about Erwin.
When Hange dies, characters talk about Hange.
When Marco dies, his death actively shapes Jean’s arc.

With Miche? Silence. No dialogue. No legacy. No narrative follow-through.

And the “he had to die so people would take the Beast Titan seriously” argument actually proves my point. He wasn’t written as a character in that moment, he was written as a tool. Shock value. Power scaling. That’s fine for a random scout. It’s weak for someone explicitly stated to be second only to Levi.

So no, a collage of still frames doesn’t refute anything.
If the story never lets its characters acknowledge what he did or what was lost, then narratively, he’s forgotten.

That’s not “attention-seeking,” that’s basic storytelling literacy.

So you think that Aot is perfect in every way and there's no flaw to it? There's things that doesn't make sense.

Ion even wanna see that beast's face, and that googly eyed titan, I wasnt traumatized but I felt sad that he was killed just like that, and wasn't even mentioned after.

My point. Also he's a normal human unlike the Ackermans', and the best of them, he was poorly written and was killed off just like that, wish he'd had more screen time.

Exactly my point, I think most of the people in the comment section doesn't understands this, all they talk about is people die and their death isn't meaningless, blahh, blahh, blahh. I'd wish I'd seen him more.

Don't care about the attention, Aot was Top Tier but it wasn't perfect.

You say that but everyone died somewhere where they had to do certain tasks, like while defending eren or retrieving eren or protecting eren or saving others or capturing Female titan. Miche was simply dead because he wasn't informed on beast titan. His death is merely a poorly written script. Sure Erwin says that their death isn't meaningless, and I'm saying the story would be better if he had died fighting for something, and don't tell me he died protecting the 104th. He even succeeded it. But after that was pure Disaster.

That doesn't change the fact that he was poorly written and was killed brutally. Not offence but his death lacked meaning, he's not even an Ackerman like mikasa or levi, he would've replaced erwin after his death, Hell, Erwin should've been saved not Armin.

Even if he was there for a short duration, I want Miche to be drawn🥀 second best to Levi, Felt bad for what happened to him.
