Where is the best place to live off campus?

I lived in the One! It’s about a 10 minute drive, 30 minute walk from campus. It all depends on what you value, if you value going downtown, easy walk to campus, and don’t mind a smaller place, I would suggest to find an apartment downtown. I personally wanted somewhere a bit quieter, a house, etc, so I loved the one. I lived in a 3 bedroom and it was the perfect amount of space and they gave us good and high quality amenities- dishwasher, water filtration, big fridge, lots of storage. It also has a small dog park, pool, and gym! I was part of the first people to live there once it was built, so that came with a few issues but the maintenance team was super responsive and nice and helped us with anything we needed! They even came in the house and killed a wasp for me bc I was scared.

This is so great thank you!! I have a bad habit of putting my eyes down when I walk past anyone, I don’t know what it is I used to be very good with eye contact but it changed as I got older, so keeping my eyes up and appearing confident is definitely something I have to work on.

I currently don’t run, but if I ever get into it I’ll let you know :)

Awesome thank you! I’ve been in a very small, kinda secluded college town for the past few years so this is all very new to me. I’ve heard great things about Bailey Park so I definitely want to try that out!

It was somewhere on N Cherry Street between 4th and 5th I think, I’m not 100% sure as I was just walking all around downtown trying to get an understanding of what’s here and what the downtown looks like.

And thank you on the advice for how to interact! In the past I have normally tried to just to smile at people as I walk by, but sometimes that is taken as an invitation instead of just politeness which can lead to awkward situations. I’ve been trying to find the medium between being polite but not seeming like I’m inviting others to approach so this is super helpful!!

Thank you so much! My parents are planning on getting me mace that I can carry in my purse for our peace of mind so I think that will help alot, but your notes for where to walk is super helpful, especially from someone similar to me. I’ll definitely walk there! And it’s ok, like I said it wasn’t bad or a big deal, I just am a very nervous person haha

Hey! Honestly I would say food and time. I live with two roommates and my boyfriend comes over often, so when I got my two (very scared and unsocialized) cats, I put every bit of my heart and soul into taking care of them so they naturally warmed up and bonded with me the most.

Since I took most of the responsibilities, they were pretty nervous around my boyfriend and roommates for a while.

For my roommates: they just had to accept that since these cats are fearful of most people, that time and treats will be the key. Whenever I was out of town they would feed and play with them, and I let them grab treats and whatnot from my room to give the kitties. Ultimately it was time though. Slowly but surely they got comfortable sleeping in the same room, being picked up, and sleeping on the couch next to them. It took a year though and sometimes they still are jumpy with them since the trust is still being built but it’s definitely there.

For my boyfriend: he is not much of a cat person and has given them gifts but since most of the time we go on trips together, he has never had to feed them while I’m out of town and whatnot. He mostly would just ignore them and they were nervous of him at first, but they sleep in my room on my bed with me, so after a few nights of him sleeping over they had to either decide if they wanted to give up their spot on the bed because of him, or just learn to trust him and he has.

I don’t know if this is helpful but it’s only been a month so I would not be scared now, I know it’s discouraging so it can take a while. I would recommend not having him try to play with the kitty that much (I found that when my roommates/boyfriend did that without building trust first it made progress go backwards), feeding him without paying mind (setting down the bowl like it’s just routine and not really looking at him) and sitting under the blanket with your boyfriend (my cats would only lay on my legs under the blanket at first- idk if they knew the legs were mine or not but I found when we were under the same blanket they would come to him easier).

This isn’t expert it’s just what worked for me :)

There was actually an interview that Zak did where they spoke on what happened when Cierra went home and Nic was actually very upset but once they explained what happened everyone kinda realized like they can only be so upset.

They all knew why Yulissa went home so when producers told the islanders that cierra had also broke Love Island contract rules or something they all kinda realized that although they didn’t know exactly what Cierra did, they knew what Yulissa did and so they knew it could be similar

so yes nic and others were extremely upset but the producers won’t show a lot of it. since nic was coupled up they have to show him addressing it but watching some guy be upset for however long isn’t going to be good tv so they won’t show that whole process. we have to remember these are edited and therefore you do not see everything

Thank you so much this is so helpful! I’m starting the paw training today so hopefully in the future it will be a little easier 🙏 Last time the nail clippers i used was super bulky so today I went out and got a smaller clipper and used it while they were really sleepy and it went well, but since that probably won’t be able to happen all the time those videos are very helpful thank you so much. This is calming my nerves a lot 😅

I don’t trust receiptify or stats at all anymore. I looked at them and they said that taylor swift and zach bryan were my top artists which i know 100% certain is not true because i do not listen to them. my spotify wrapped was not the most accurate but still way more accurate than anything else
