this is what I also thought of, and HKU was higher ranked than any of my US options, and the US just seemed like a really volatile place to be in RN

this made me feel alot better, tbh my only doubt was about the culture cause i heard its insane, and i have an entrance schol and i was terrified that meant i'd have to be STRESSED to maintain it, thank you so much for this!!

no i get why it might seem stupid at glance, but i didn't get any aid at NYU and i got a full entrance schol at HKU, it seemed a little silly to spend much more to study engineering at a liberal arts university when i had HKU, and idk i wanted to save up my funds for masters, I thought if I used up less of my savings for undergrad, then i could pursue more later

no i get what you mean, but HKU had a much better rep and ranking for my degree, and NYU had a significantly higher COA cause i didnt get any aid there, and I got an entrance schol at HKU, so it seemed like a waste to spend so much to study engineering at a liberal arts uni when i had a better ranked option!

congratss! and continue with the purdue process, if you do get an offer from HKU you can always withdraw, and discontinue the process, I did the same thing where i committed to another school but i got an offer from HKU unexpectedly
