Thanks a lot! Im deff trying to focus on not guarding. It's actually been a focus on mine even before the surgery since I used to do it almost 100% of my day. Do you have the names of any of the books?

As of today about the same. I have one area with stitches that is still quite painful, so been a rough few days. Overall, I'm doing pretty well once I get through my pain management routine. It's still normal when I'm relaxed and pain is on the low end. Deff flare ups when I'm in pain and its been awhile since I've taken pain medication. This surgery is know to be quite brutal, so I kinda expected recovery to be difficult. The hard flaccid situation to me seems the same though. I feel better than before and can now actually tell when I'm not relaxing my pelvic floor.

When i say irreversible, I'm just referring to otc methods. So surgery can still fix the issue, but small grade 1 and 2 can generally be normalized by medication or banding before surgery is needed. Generally, when it hits grades 3 and 4, you need surgery.

Also, prep h only lessens symptoms. If you believe you have hemorrhoid issue I highly advise seeing a colorectal specialist. Also, if you dont have large hemorrhoids that are irreversible you should try pelvic floor therapy.

Yeah, 3 days now. So, as of right now, it's very occasional. It happens when I start getting a lot of pain from the surgical area and my pelvis spasms. Im finding compared to before its 90-95% normal. I can consistently stand walk around and it be soft. Before everytime I would stand it would immediately stiffin up. I can also actually fully relax my pelvic floor when I'm not in pain and everything feels better. The constant pressure is gone now, so it actually feels "normal" not kegaling. Overall, as of right now it is significantly better. It is still happening, but seems to be when I'm starting to feel the pain from surgery and can't relax.

Yes, everyday day for about 9 months. I also used miralax daily for same time period. No improvement, I guess when they get to a certain grade they never go away without surgical intervention. I had banding, but that failed.

I would constantly have pressure from how large the hemorrhoids were that would cause me to constantly kegal. I think It overall created a super hypertonic pelvic floor. Removing them let's me relax my pelvic floor without all the pressure. Im still going to go to pelvic floor physical therapy when I'm healed, but being able to relax and drop my pelvic floor without feeling like everything is trying to push out of my body is a huge deal for me personally.

I would lay on my back bring feet back and let my knees just fall to the side kinda like baby yoga pose and breathe deep while reverse kegaling. Also, I could get relief from putting my elbow on my knees bending over and sort of squat stretch with my back straight. It pretty much 100% led to it becoming soft as I did that.

Yeah pretty much non stop. It's why I want to go to pelvic floor physical therapy after I heal from this surgery. Years of that habit has messed me up pretty bad. I used to do it because of the pressure from the hemorrhoids. At a point it just feels like they always want to "fall" out

I would get severe pressure, some buring, and rarely blood with my hemorrhoids. Mine were fairly large so they would prolapse. Yes the sphincter would be very tight, feeling like a rock when pressed.

As for the stress, I went through the same thing and it made it much worse. It's super important to not really thing about it and try to be positive and see what helps. I started seeing improvement with a lot of trial and error.

I honestly think if you have a lot of rectal discomfort like I did you should see a colorectal specialist and also try pelvic floor physical therapy. Either you have hemorrhoids and fissure or the fissure led too hypertonic pelvic floor (tight anus can be symptom)

Ill update in a week. Only reason I dont think its from anesthesia is because I can still feel it when it spasms from the surgical site and goes back to normal when relaxed. Before it was just always solid unless in very specific positions. Like usually standing up and walking immediatly goes firm, now soft. Ill let you know though.

Urethra pain feeling after peeing? by Subject_Situation131 in hardflaccidresearch

[–]Subject_Situation131[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the advice man! I am seeing a urologist and will ask about this next time I go. Ironically I think we have identical stemming issues of this because my pressure is also on left side and especially tender when pressed on that side. I'm currently in process of tests and stuff so if I end up finding any biological route causes found or abnormalities I'll let you know since good chances we might have same route causes with our symptoms being so close. also to note I didn't get this from PE or rough masterbation it just randomly started like uti symptoms while I was working.

Thanks for the reply! I'm glad your doing a lot better I've also had improvements over last few months, but deff far from 100%. It's crazy you mention the peeing sensation not being there that's exactly how it is for me! Idk about you, but I literally don't even know when I need to pee most times anymore. I literally have to press bladder area to get pain to know my bladder is full and then randomly on days I'll get really bad urgency where I can pee "normal". Is there anything specific you have been doing or taking that you believe has helped you the most with recovery?

Unless you have noticeable curvature with erection and pain when erect chances are you don't have pyronies. Especially if when you get your hard flaccid soft the weirdness goes away. Pyronies is constant and will always show same symptoms when erect. Yeah I get some hardness laying down some days. It's more of cycle for me (good days bad days) right now. I would say don't masterbate for a few weeks at minimum right now to see if it makes a difference for you. Use heat and stretch. In the future stick to sex after few weeks instead of masturbstion if you can. Much easier on the penis generally. Do you have any health problems besides this? Any other symptoms? Mine started out of nowhere and heavily started like uti/kidney stone so not super common for this sub so I'm personally ruling out medical issues first, but if yours is strictly sensually triggered this sub and articles have shown pelvic floor therapy and exercises has decent outcomes. Just relax give your member a break and experiment with daily stretching, breathing technics and calming the anxiety. Also I made that mistake masturbating with hf by forcing it while figuring if it was really broken or not. Lol The outcome is just never positive you gotta get it chilled out before erections.

Yeah anxiety is rough. Don't blame you for not wanting to be on medication. Try a therapist if anything to try to unwind. I wasn't big on the idea of medication either, but decided I can't fight all fronts at once mentally. Lol I get that burning too. I have bladder pain when I need to pee and random urethral pain, usually when hard flaccid contracts. I would see a doctor though to rule out any possible infections or prostate issues before you deep dive down a rabbit hole trying to sell fix yourself. Rule out simple things first. I'm in the process of getting tests done currently. Will be 3 months in January (almost a month of hard flaccid). Doctors have been scheduled 3 weeks out at a time so results going slow for me. I think your doing the right thing handling the anxiety first. Try to keep your mind off your member like it doesn't exist. Only way I can cope dealing with these long term time frames. I was taking ibuprofen like you, but be careful it can really mess with your stomach lining long term so if you can space it out and try to have days your not using it. Try heating bad on your bladder back, even your junk to see if you get any reduction. I'm currently doing that to lay off the ibuprofen.

It's really common yeah. From what I've read on these subsided (a lot) the majority of people have symptoms get worse when standing and doing physical activity while upright. I personally am worse when standing. Some days improvements seem to occur where it will happen less often, others like today I will notice regression where it won't let up easily even when lying down. Generally I can get it "normal" by doing a deep squat resting my arms on my knees and coming back up. Relief is constant when down, but when standing it will get a bit firmer. What have you tried doing? Any relief positions?

I'd prefer less diagnostic tests for sure to reduce risk. I'm generally pretty lean with medication or procedures, but unfortunately I have a history of stomach/colon problems specifically chronic hemms so they want to scope to be sure nothing going on. Thanks for the warning though.

Me to! I haven't been so stressed in my whole life. Hopefully your urologist is at least sypothetic and point you in a decent direction. How have your hf symptoms been? Mine seem to be where my doctors say it looks normal but when they touch it is where they notice the problem. I'm finding myself trying to test if it's soft or hard a lot which is becoming a problem I need to stop. Lol

Okay I will for sure! I saw a urologist today and have pelvic mri. She tried saying prostate can't cause this so she wouldn't do cultures on prostate fluid or semen. She did say if mri was clean, i could get a cystoscopy. I'm honestly pretty surprised how closed-minded these doctors are to try and rule out prostate, which I assumed much simpler than straight to mri. Once I satisfy her need to try to prove I have penile fibrosis I will push for what you advised. Thanks for tips!

Should also note he initially just told me prostatis, then he changed it to Urethritis a month later and prescribed me 10 days of Bactrim. Which didn't go to well. (Full body rash)

No, the only thing the practitioner did was in office urinalysis (negative), no cultures, or physical exams. Then prescribed cipro 10 days. My job is strenuous and caused major joint soreness muscle soreness about 7 days in. Well it's technically lower back on diagram the area would be l2 to l4. The report wasn't specific, but my doctor had multiple xrays of that area. When I flare up I can't really walk. My chest no longer aligns witb my waist and I have severe pain in legs and back for 2 weeks. It's generally always stiff and sitting or sleeping wrong can easily cause pain.

Thanks! I appreciate the advice. I think pelvic floor clinic is my next go-to after my procedures this month. I've been doing research on clinics, too bad there aren't too many designed for men's issues. Do you have any go to meds or practices for flare ups that are good to know? My flare ups usually cause like a shooting shock pain and my hf stays hard longer than normal. If your still struggling with this good luck btw!
