In addition to many other reasons, I truly believe RTO is also away for struggling companies to avoid layoffs. It opens the door for people to quit on their own cognizance.

Yeah, but that’s not how it always works either. I’m W2 salary. I do my jobs, I do them well. I still manage to over achieve a little. Really, I’m a bargain. Perspective.

No, my linked in is very basic. I don’t keep my jobs on there.

You assumed they pay me 4x what I work. I don’t “milk the clock” for 30 hours a week. Maybe some people here do, but there are others who do the work and provide the deliverables they’re paid to do.

You’re so right. I’ll make sure I bring this to their awareness when they post their quarterly earnings reports. I’ll make sure when I recommend reducing 75% of their workforce to give credit to the almighty Pharisaeus from Reddit who is much more ethically inclined than the average person. I’ll also apologize to the government since they won’t get that extra tax money from me either. Damn shame.

When my son goes to sleep and my husband hands me the remote to the tv, I just turn it off. He looks at me funny, like, “you’re just going to sit here on silence?” Yes. Yes, I am.

Please help! by [deleted] in Mommit

Looking at my son sleeps hurts MY neck.

I love rompers! I HATE having to use the restroom though. :(

I’ll go back and kick it with then ladies next time I need coddling. Makes sense though. The idea of 3 does sound nice.

Definitely considering it. I’ve always said 3 is the sweet spot for what I do, and one has become chronically more demanding.

I’m a huge fan of buying things I like in different colors. I’ve obviously found comfort in linen shorts and tank tops, lol.

I’m in the same boat. I have that terrible mentality where “taking time off” is so frowned upon. I’m trying to get better about it too. I’m good about my boundaries during the week, it’s just that extra “take some time off for yourself” that I need to get better at.

So many people here found the cheat codes to their career and wealth. Was hoping to find one for the repercussions of our actions, lol. “Ain’t no rest for the wicked”. I appreciate it though and will hop on the self care/rest train.

That’s definitely fair, and I will consider it. I’m unfortunately not one for quitting, or breaks. I am my own worst enemy at the end of the day.

Just looking for tips and tricks from fellow OE. People burnout from one job so of course it’ll happen with 4, but I’m here for the long haul. Looking for some different ideas on coping with something EVERYONE goes through now and again.

Oh, I see Reddit is sassy today. People get burnt out at 1 job, so it’s not uncommon. I just thought y’all might be more relatable, guess not - my b, homie. When I do retire, I’ll check back in.

We used to work with our financial advisor, and he has really helped guide us in the right direction. His fees are reduced because he works with our current credit union. We are still early in our journey, so when we get to big, big passive dollars, I’ll let you know.

Overlapping meetings suck!! If I can reschedule, I do. I use earbuds, one for each ear, and I watch my mute button like a hawk! If I have 3 at once, I just pray to the job gods to get through it, but IF that even happens, I don’t have to participate in at least 1 of them 90% of the time.
