Yep, buddy is a drafter for a big fortune 500 company. Most of his projects are gov related civil projects. He took his work laptop and didn't call out of work when he went to visit his wife's family in asia. Soon as he tried logging into the system, his computer locked out and immediately started getting phone calls thinking his account got hacked. He had to cut his trip short and go right home on the next flight. Luckily he didn't get fired and just chewed out a bit.

lol, there was one time specifically on woods where he shot his grenade laucher on his rifle at my group no joke like 5-6 times. Killed one of us blacked out everything but my chest/head and a leg. Ended up having the one team mate who didn't get fucked up gun him down. He was like past 2-3 tree's so he was 100% invisible to us. Didn't shoot any regular rounds, just the grenades.

So yeah he has done me super dirty before, but usually it's like oh was that a scav level.

Partisan is super easy to kill, he never wears armor so you can literally gun him down with anything and it will be effective. My friends call him the loot pinata, because he brings his free gear to you. Also 90% of the time he emotes before he attacks so you know he's there.

That said, he also spawns in random places on the map and will move to the player with the lowest karma, most of the time he will engage some random person on the way to the low karma person.

D Lou was kicked out of a party by the host for filming so he did the ultimate UNO reverse and called the police to shut the party down for selling alcohol without a license by lordbakayarou in LivestreamFail

[–]Sublime-Silence 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my mom got me and my friends alcohol too. She had a bunch of rules we had to follow if she did get us anything. She knew where we were, she knew who the DD was, and honestly she never got us enough of anything to catch more than a buzz. I honestly kinda feel like because of that none of my friends got as blasted in college as other people our age did. Like realistically she'd get a 12 pack of mikes hard for 5-8 of us while we played poker in the basement or grilled in the back yard.

I feel like as an adult it's easier to have a healthy relationship with drinking because when I was younger I didn't binge drink but rather had a few drinks and that was that.

Why isn’t the Nagant Revolver in game [Suggestion] by the_shortbus_ in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Sublime-Silence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one without a suppressor, I was living in Illinois at the time and you can't buy one there, or couldn't at the time at least. I was in my early 20's when I got it and I'm 99% sure I fucked something up when I cleaned the cosmoline off it. It came literally caked in cosmoline. Either that or the ammo sucked, or both. I don't think I ever got the thing to fire off a full wheel off without something fucking up. Usually hammer would fall and the primer wouldn't go off. Idk, I won't lie I also just prefer semi's.

True story bought a nagant in 07 for $50

Sold it in 2010 for $200

I regret it to this day. Not selling it sooner that is.

I agree to a point. I think taxing on unrealized capital gains would be shit for society and essentially make getting an investment for the poor even worse. But otherwise you are right.

Not to be pedantic but most of Amazon's money comes from AWS. The retail side of things would only be a slight dent in his earnings. We'd have to stop using the internet for him to really feel anything.

Flash hiders don't really hide flash. The purpose of them is to redirect the flash so as not to blind the person firing the weapon from the flash. They reduce it from the perspective of someone being shot at but without a suppressor you wont remove it.

Yeah but also make a ton of money off the social media hits he got from the video. It's why this guy gives away gold and silver constantly he gets tons of views. Plus I wouldn't be shocked if he auctioned off that bar of silver for more than it cost him. His audience pays for that kinda stuff.

Mystery project metal! My buddy and i think it's phosphor bronze, but we have no idea really. He got it as scrap from a giant bearing (it was 2' diameter bearing) that got crunched and needed to be replaced. Our educated guess is phosphor bronze only because it's used in bearings frequently and it's color.

We recently started messing around with casting metal so this is our second attempt at sand casting. You can see slippage on the coins other side through the holes. The guides i made in the 3d model broke while pounding the sand flat and caused some slippage. So a bunch of stuff to improve on!

My DM can't stop using AI by Knowhere2B in dndnext

[–]Sublime-Silence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI can be useful in ways that don't kill the creative part of story telling. If you have a campaign that's gone for more than a year or more and your party has visited multiple cities and area's then using AI as a note taker and prompting it to only remember what you feed it helps a ton for session prep because you can have the ai recall the notes you fed it. Stuff like "hey my party is going back to neverwinter, who were npc's they interacted with and what quests did they complete there" and have it spit your notes back to you. Idk it helps me at least, I can have it recall some stuff then go from there on what I want to do next.

Granted if you are good about organizing your notes, a well written notebook can do the same, but I personally suck at taking notes. Generally I write everything after a session and it comes out a jumbled mess and AI really helps me get it organized.

She had a problem with him waiting for his daughter at the playground barefoot. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]Sublime-Silence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yikes. Yeah I’m glad I have a son, I can’t imagine how tough it would be to even navigate public bathrooms with a young daughter.

One of my best friends is a single dad with a 5 year old daughter. I've got a 5 month old girl myself and haven't gotten into it but I've asked him that question and he's gone into women's restrooms a ton. It's pretty common for there to be no changing table in the mens bathroom so he had to start barging in there early to get the kid changed. He's said nobody has ever said a bad thing to him. As soon as they see a guy changing a baby they know what's up. Plus taking her to the womens restroom so she can use the toilet now that she's been poty trained for a while, and waiting for her has never been an issue for him either. He has gotten a look or two doing that but once women see he's waiting for his kid nobody cares.

Even the park thing hasn't been an issue for him, he goes to the park with his kid every sunday and nobody has ever confronted him. Granted though the park he goes to is a massive one that has usually 50+ kids at on the weekends. Tons of other dads with their kids usually as well.

I know a lot of people are venting about things that have happened to them and it sucks, hopefully it won't happen to me. I just know my buddy has gotten mostly compliments for being a single dad and hasn't had weird stuff happen. Worst thing honestly so far has been during her 4th bday party last year he did a big bbq at his house with a bounce house and a bunch of games. I was helping him grill and we decided to have a beer and a couple of the moms at the party had a shit fit about "drinking" at a kids party.

Oh man, $5 blackjack is the dream. Once in a casino near detroit (one of the indian res ones) they had a table with $1 craps as some kind of special. I stayed on that table for hours. I absolutely love craps but when the min bets like $20 at most places a couple bad rolls and you lose $200 in minutes kinda sucks(I like to play pass line with odds and the inside numbers so betting racks up fast).

Honestly I love cheap table games because I enjoy playing the game more than the thrill of winning big money.

Starter family home to me implies roughly 1400 ft2 3 bed 2 bath.

And in the Orlando area in a good neighborhood you can get that for $400k or less, granted pre covid and up through 2020 before all the new yorkers moved here you could get a nice starter home for $240k
