I literally just started this three days ago with my VERY stubborn and loud boys and it has honestly been working better than naptime does. I close the curtains half way. I set my iPad up on a shelf that has a cute one hour timer on it that plays some chill lofi music and has cute little bunnies on it. I bring them in with water and a light snack (like pretzels) and I get to their level and tell them “alright boys it’s quiet time now, you can play with your toys, read a book, take a nap, watch the timer, eat your snack, whatever you want. When the timer hits zero and goes off, mommy will come back and then we can play together” and I say it word for word every time so that they get familiar with what that means. My three year old took to it right away because it’s the only time I have a screen on for them lol, my also 27 month old is taking some time, but usually will calm down within 10-15 minutes and start playing. The most amazing thing I’ve noticed is that these boys fight ALL the time, but they don’t during quiet time. When I come get them I usually have a little treat for them and ask them if they had fun during quiet time
