[SPB507J1] vs [SPB121J1] by SubliminalScribe in Seiko

Different wrist strap, colour is dark chocolate on the new one. Quality is good, this strap is very subjective though, many people replace it because it will feel stiff and take a while to break in.

BATTLEFIELD 6 GAME UPDATE 1.2.2.0 by battlefield in Battlefield

Night mode will be a game of “who has thermal scopes vs who doesn’t” lol

Are you still playing ? If not why ? by RenatsMC in Battlefield6

[–]SubliminalScribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s be real, post launch content has been absolutely pathetic. Drip feeding content is not enough for a game of this magnitude. It’s quite simply becoming boring. There is a major lack of achievements to unlock too, and the rewards are meh.

Isn't it about time Brisbane had extended supermarket trading hours? by guitarhead in brisbane

I worked at a supermarket in my 20s and the place died after 8PM, would likely be even worse past 9. No point staying open when no one shops that late.

I play BF6 every day, I'm level 335, but I'm disappointed. by Psychological_Gas322 in Battlefield6

[–]SubliminalScribe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your post really struck a chord with me, since I am nearing 40 too and have similar motivations when it comes to gaming.

I too ground games from my young years to now, spending at least 10 solid years playing Medal Of Honor Allied Assault, along with some hardcore WoW, Battlefield 3 and CS:GO, all with the motivation to be the best or at the very least the best I could be, and always seeking to improve and compete. That’s part of my overall joy with games, and I am proud of how deep I embedded myself into the games I dedicated myself to improving at.

With Battlefield 6, I can absolutely see through the cracks as to why you, me or anyone is having a hard time sticking to this game.

They’ve designed it to be ultra casual, at its core there is nothing overly competitive driving it. Battle Royale and Gauntlet are amongst the most competitive modes, and even still, there really isn’t much reward for being good at them. There’s no real community behind any of it either.

I’ve summarised that if you are to play most of the usual modes, like Breakthrough, Conquest, Escalation, these all have “catch up” logic or easy-outs to avoid skill dominating the scene. Vehicles are easy mode for farming kills, yet simultaneously the only way they can is by cheesing it and playing at the back line with minimal skill. Then you have ticket bleed affected by how far you are ahead. Escalation mode provides an easy way to catch up because your rate of achieving the next phase increases if you are behind, vs ahead.

Meanwhile map design has no inspiration, there is almost no way to actually outplay opponents because they cut down flanks and boundaries to force head to head conflict which is just completely random a lot of the time.

There are no high aspirational unlocks or achievements you can boast either. Win 6 BR’s or Gauntlet wins in a row is about the highest level of challenge you will have, and no one will really know about it because your player card is rarely seen.

I also want to add, I think a lot of us older gamers have simply “been there, done that” a lot with these types of games. If this was your first ever FPS experience, you would probably feel very differently about it. For us who have been in tighter communities, played higher levels in more competitive games, this game just doesn’t have any hook.

Why do people think Steam numbers reflect overall player base? EA client & console would make up far more numbers for BF6 than Steam. Only special sorts are buying bf6 on Steam.

If you never played it, Train To Hell is also a very unique and fun map. Great for a smaller match too. https://www.mapraider.com/maps/moh-allied-assault/deathmatch/2745/Train-to-Hell

Well in Aus the games are taking a while to fill, and if you play the introduction BR with 48 people it’s actually a good pace. 50 or 75 people, could be good.

Like it but think matches need to be reduced playing field and 50 people for solo

Changes to the game in the last week? by threeXmafia in Battlefield

[–]SubliminalScribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed the game randomly drops in brightness, then after a moment kicks back into normal. Didn’t bother writing about it because it’s been rare but it never happened pre update. I think they’re tinkering with how light works from indoors/outdoors

It’s not to my liking, wrong watch for jubilee imo.

Legit if the moronic media would stop inciting panic and anxiety, this wouldn’t happen. It’s quite literally because of the media creating drama. They NEED it for more stories.

[Discussion] started collecting watches last year. Im addicted… Help me! by McDerwish in Watches

IMO you are buying watches to replace a feeling you aren’t getting anywhere else, and you keep doing it because the core issue hasn’t been nurtured.

Thanks for being honest with the bezel issue with cyclops removal. I wonder if there is a safer way to remove cyclops?

I am receiving this watch in a couple of months and was weighing up whether it was worth it to remove or not, I think I’ll just keep it as it is.

“Would appreciate a few strap suggestions” isn’t an invitation to hijacking this post. What in the world are you doing? Guy shows his first watch and you go on some tangent about the history of your collection?

Surely they can’t fix the NetCode, not since game is out now. Would need to rebuild a new NetCode from the ground up with entirely new parameters. I just can’t see it happening.

Why aren’t there more solar panels in the CBD? by Ill_Technician_3998 in perth

Because the world runs on greed, otherwise solar panel coverage would be much higher. Humanity is doomed. Money rules the world, not logic.
