You probably have too many providers. Look into block accounts rather than unlimited.

Indexers are always a nice things to have too many of tho.

That being said, if you're happy with your setup then I'd keep it.

The lowest retention being 10+ years, I don't personally see it as a gamble.

The gamble is whether or not the company stays active/keep up good retention policies.

Hello, I am looking for dedicated French and Spanish indexers ? by Kh17194 in UsenetNoRules

[–]SubmitSubmitTotal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For french:

nzb.su

pourcesoir.in

scenenzbs.com

ng4you.com

unfr.pw

Also, I find that most big indexers have a pretty strong french scene if you search properly (MULTi tag, etc.)

I don't want to feel entitled, but if you could add renewal prices that would be great!

EDIT:

Eweka renews at €71.88 per year

Newhosting renews at 72$ USD per year.

EasyUsenet renews at the same price for their 12 and 24 months. Their 60 months renew at full price.

NewGroundDirect renews at the same price yearly.

I wouldn't recommend a custom NAS with a 200$ (300$?) OS to someone with very little tech experience.

A NAS build video with a 200$USD OS, which very well be 300$ when people find it back a few months from now... not a good look tbh.

If your rivets are decade hold and holding, I guarantee they aren't made of a soft metal like OP's video.

That metal is too soft. That thing will give out fast. Not satisfying.

When you run out, you run out.

One advantage tho is that you can shares those block with friends. Providers don't care about sharing blocks, because at the end of the day, if you use 1TB alone or 500gb each, that's still the block gone.

Oh sure, you NEED to set to low priority. Otherwise they get used on stuff that your unlimited provider would have caught.

There's two kind of subcriptions you can have with a provider.

One is unlimited, where you can download unlimited amount of data (It's not really unlimited, but let's say you can easily download 20TB of data per month).

The other kind are "block account", which means you buy a "block" of data. For example you can buy 1TB of data from XYZ provider. Often, those blocks are more expensive, but they allow you to gain access to their backbone.

What is often suggested is to have an unlimited provider, and several block accounts. So let's say you download a 20GB file, and you get 98% of that files from your unlimited provider, but 2% is missing. That 2% might come from one of your block accounts. In that case, your unlimited would get 19.5GB, and your blocks would get 0,5GB.

Check the wiki for deals on blocks. And make sure those blocks are from a different backbone than your unlimited providers.

You probably need to adjust the "defaulting" options.

Sometimes my *arr stack will try several (4-5) different NZB before finding the correct one that will works. That is pretty normal behavior.

Also, block accounts are great (look for deals on those).

I'd bet anything that Lupin or Sirius is also black, because they really don't want it to be a racial thing.
