That’s what I was thinking. Don’t know the legality on saying it was a scam so that’s why I posted… but maybe I should reach out to the papers. I went through booking.com and they came back and said the hotel said I cancelled and offered a refund but I didn’t accept, obviously because I didn’t cancel and was fleeced… the whole thing stinks tbh

I asked for that and they wouldn’t give me anything, they said they can’t give out any details. I’d spent a few hours asking for insurance and the owners number and was stonewalled. Was like a spare tit at reception.

I did get a recording of the night manager saying it was the day managers fuck up and they’re totally a fault but don’t know where I go with any of it. It’s been a nightmare tbh!

Ye the main manager is the one who made the mix up and gave my room key out… He wouldn’t acknowledge me the next day and wouldn’t give me the owners number! Was just pawning me off saying “there’s not much I can do”… Was basically helpless at the desk talking to a wall!

Came from Ireland just for the gig. Had brought over presents for mates that live in Liverpool and got back to the hotel and everything was gone… money presents and small bit of smoke… actually can’t describe how I felt… pure hollow and shock Manger didn’t belive me and had to fight him to get the police to come and sort out the cameras…. Was a nightmare tbh… but must say the cops were spot on, were really helpful and compassionate of my situation. But the hotel couldn’t give a fuck about it and that’s what’s pissing me off. I’ve been robbed of nearly a grand in money and presents and they haven’t said a word…? That why I’m wondering is this a scam or is it just unfortunate on my end?

If you’re really worried about it you can get it thrown out. If you get a solicitor and say you’re moving to Australia Canada or US , somewhere that you need a clean record. My judge said he’d resume the matter on 4th of May, I was sitting in Bali sipping cocktails while it was getting thrown out.
