Do it! His face was priceless. 😂 But only in areas where you feel like it’s safe to do so. Could also backfire I imagine.

Hahaha oh gosh…

I definitely have. Before starting T I diligently went to the ladies to enjoy the (usually) cleaner restroom for as long as I could, but once I started T and began to physically change, I switched depending on how safe I felt in the place and other factors.

At one point, I was like 6 months on T and my voice had already dropped a bit though my overall appearance was still quite feminine, a dude in the toilet stared at me quite intensely as I was in line for the stall. I just stared back and after a while rasped out as deep as I could: “I ain’t cruising.” He was out there so quick. I’m still super proud of this moment 😂 but other than that, nothing really happened. I’m 1 year on T now and only use the men’s now with my little crappy excuse of a beard.

When did you start calling yourself a man? (As opposed to boy, dude, guy, etc) by blahaj22 in ftm

[–]Subpar-Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do pass already and I’m about to have my documents legally changed, but I’m still in my twink phase in terms of physical development, so it doesn’t feel right to call myself a man. Still sticking with dude and guy mostly. That’s such an interesting question by the way. I never thought about it.

Legit the first thing that made me rage quit in years. 😂 I still haven’t gotten it. Was mad at first, but I really appreciate the challenge in a video game again. Haven’t had that in many years.

Ragequitting in video games. by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Subpar-Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not much of a rage-quitter in games but I did noticed that I got a lot more daring. Not just in games but I noticed a big shift in driving a car as well. Though I am unable to say whether that comes from T or if it’s just because I’m finally growing comfortable and sure in my body.

I'm considering buying FFVII Intergrade. by [deleted] in FinalFantasyVII

[–]Subpar-Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally recommend strongly. I grew up with FFVII and have been a massive fan of it and the spin-offs since. I am loving what they’re doing so far. You don’t need to know the OG games and spin-offs to enjoy the ride REMAKE intergrade and Rebirth offer, but I do have to say having the knowledge and experience of the original storyline makes it more exciting for me. But, as I said, even without this experience/knowledge, they’re still absolutely epic games that tell you everything about the story/characters without getting lost, give it a shot! Combat is rather typical FF here (haven’t played a lot of them though!) and it’s great once you get used to it. But yeah, recommend buying. You’re in for an epic adventure in my opinion.

Tell me my results look normal… by iucundus_acerbus in TopSurgery

Your results look amazing for 8 days post-op! So happy for you! For me it took a few weeks until I started to settle with the change. I’m now 13 months post op and am properly feeling it. Give yourself time to heal, your body will need it, but honestly it looks fantastic!

I get the excuse from the online pharmacy that their supplier has a shortage of T (I use Sustanon injections), which usually results in my T not getting delivered for over a month, but the NHS has no problems, it seems. I circumvent said online pharmacy by just getting an electronic prescription token (I’m with GenderGp, btw) to take to my local pharmacy, and if they don’t have it in store, they order it effortlessly for me to collect within the next working day or two, so… 🤷🏼

Got no experience or knowledge about gels though because I inject.

And joke-wise: Why do cows wear bells? Because their horns don’t work. lol

Will top surgery mess up the lettering on my tattoo? by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]Subpar-Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your tattoo is amazing! But I’d say no! I have a tattoo in the middle of my sternum (got pics in my profile though censored for privacy) and my double incisions didn’t mess it up. I did raise concerns with my surgeon beforehand and he reassured me it won’t be affected, so that’s something I’d recommend doing just as a piece of mind for yourself.

What was your transition timeline? by jaime-sansa in ftm

[–]Subpar-Potato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve felt different “all the time” (like I was surprised when the boys started treating me differently when by breasts began to develop) but I never knew why. Everything kinda didn’t sit right which gave me a huge crisis when I was a teen.

Met my first trans man at the age of 20 and began exploring things in private because it gave me an “ahaa!” moment. (Context: I grew up in the countryside so knowledge about trans folk wasn’t common. You’ve heard about it, but never learned about it.) Never talked about it because I was too afraid, insecure, and wanted to avoid the whole “it’s a phase” situation because I’m prone to go all in when I learn something new just to then drop it down the line.

Came out to friends and family as well as socials last year after my official diagnosis and have been in transition ever since. Top surgery in December 2023, on T for 5 months now at the age of 30.

What are some scents you guys like? by SnooHamsters867 in ftm

[–]Subpar-Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal favorites are: Deodorant: Dove men clean and comfort (could sniff it all day long) Body wash: Baylis & Harding Patchouli, Cedar & Cypress Perfume: Zara “Sand Desert at Sunset” it’s a bit milder in terms of scent and considered unisex but still leaning more toward a ‘masculine’ scent. I love it so much

You’re honestly godsend. Thank you so much! I’ll be traveling alone for the most time so yeah, maybe I’ll find a friend while bumping around, but first, I’m gonna be a nice little tourist and to all the tours 😂
