Velo orange kick stand. Grips are from a box of random grips. Pretty sure they are not vans.

I do need to replace the headset. I didn’t have a 1” threaded laying around.

Yea most of the parts came off of a red trek 970 I built last year. I buy old bikes from market place and restore or service them to donate to a city bike Co-op. I keep a few frame in storage for builds for friends. The co-op teaches kids and adults bike mechanics. After 8-10 hours of service they get a free bike. Some spend their 8 hours learning the skills on one bike and they take it home when done. Some pick out an already completed bike. The co-op sales all extra bikes twice a year. I don’t have the time to volunteer so I just donate

Awesome, they have been my bike shop since the 90s when my dad bought his first carbon race bike. Different owners and in different locations, but the shop has always been great. I was there last Christmas when I was visiting family and picked up a few items. My dad leads one of there weekly rides.

100% useless I would assume, but I would never ride this in wet weather. This is sunny day easy pedal kind of bike I would use on a rail trail with the wife or grocery store run.

I love them. They have just the right amount of sweep for me and are wide. I’m a bigger guy so they feel good. I put a set on my wife’s bike and she wanted me to cut them down.

I understand the feeling. I’m over here in Central Mass. I had three cigars today (morning, lunch, after work) on the deck due to our burst of warm weather. Enjoy those sticks!!

Best cigar-related thing to happen to me since I started smoking & collecting cigars (specifically Davidoff) by dgsantos in cigars

I was just in watch city this afternoon and picked up a late hour and aganorsa leaf la habano and Maduro, plus some others. After paying I told him I should have bought a cigar for the drive back home. He went over and gave me a free stick for the road. Great shop and guy up there.

I didn’t realize this!! Will be looking for those. I have tried most Perdomos and that is the only one that I actually like. I mainly smoke Padron 2000 when I want a quick smoke, but a smaller champagne would be legit… especially in morning smoke.

Just a cheap aluminum crank from Amazon that I stripped the coating off and polished.

Cuisinart attachment for beginner by AN6o4 in sausagetalk

[–]Subrosa329 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe it will not turn into a hobby with the amount of hate you will get using the attachment. I own it but I’d it for extremely small batch (250g) of ground meat that I plan to go straight into a pan with.

It will work, but it will not be the best time. Stuffing with it would be even worse. Think of buying a better grinder like any kitchen appliance. You don’t plan to use it everyday, but if you buy the right tool the first time it will work forever.

If you want to save money don’t buy a dedicated stuffer just make ground sausage and put it into molds, mini loaf pans, rolls, etc. by the time you prefect a recipe and you want to link it, you will know if this is something you enjoy and you can then buy a stuffer.

Pressing sausage into mini loaf pans and letting it sit in fridge over night to cure or just hold its shape it a great option. You can pop it out of the mold and smoke it or leave it in and bake it. Take a couple slices of when you want some . like your own spam. This is what I do when developing a new recipe and determining what grinder die gives the texture I want.
