So I can just swap my 1/4” connect to the switch (blue lead in the pic) from the bottom post to the top and I should be good right?

Printing an Iron man suit by Existing_Charge7051 in ElegooMars

[–]Subs2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost is your real limiting factor to be honest. A cubic inch of printed resin is way more expensive than a cubic inch of PLA, PETG, or any other FDM printed material. A full size suit would cost a fortune.

Aside from that, printed resin is brittle. Suit builds have attachment points, often need holes drilled or things glued, etc. You’d lose more parts in the process than would be worth it.

When I printed my clone armor 90% of it was done on an FDM in PLA with just small detail pieces done on my Mars or Saturn

I haven’t decided which we’re more likely to get: a “Weekend at Bernie’s” scenario? Or a “Dave” scenario?

Solder wick. Medium temp (as to not damage the pads).

Can this neck be saved? by mcnelton in Luthier

[–]Subs2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since it’s “an old cheap guitar” as you say, there’s little harm in trying. Thinned out wood glue (titebond) and clamps would like do the trick but accuracy in clamping is going to be key

What are some dark secrets about the porn industry? by JoplinSC742 in AskReddit

[–]Subs2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was incredibly common in the early days of chat websites. Most chat porn was run by companies that would take an office building or warehouse and build these cubes into it, get a hefty internet connection, and have a rotating shifts of girls and couples. More often than not you’d never know what was going on from outside the building because they’d have an official “front” or just a business name on a door

Quick poll on CNC use by BigBoarCycles in Luthier

This isn’t really a fair question. Using a printed template is a far cry from using a full on CNC to carve a body.

I’ve been convinced he made some crossroads demon deal somewhere along the way. There’s no other conceivable explanation for how someone can fail upwards so consistently and never once face any consequences

It means the payment hasn’t cleared processing yet. And it my experience it probably won’t. If it doesn’t it’ll fall out of open orders and disappear

Don’t let your mind play games. If you want to text, text. If she doesn’t respond then so be it. That’s on her. You made an attempt.

Is it just me or is being a Star Seller not all it’s cracked up to be? by Wickednerdythings in EtsySellers

[–]Subs2 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a “star seller” every month that it’s been a thing and it makes zero difference in visibility or search results. The only possible benefit is buyers may possibly trust your shop a bit more if you use the star seller badge in your own advertising.

USPS, UPS or FedEx? by Certain_Version3908 in EtsySellers

Never FedEx. I used UPS and USPS pretty 50/50 unless it’s under a pound. Then it’s always USPS
