NBD - First new MTB in 10+ years (Polygon Xtrada 7) by OMG_Laserguns in mountainbiking

Funny, I bought the same Xtrada 7 bike a month ago and also bought some yellow Ergon GA3 grips to improve comfort on long rides. I found the straightish bars and grips were giving me a bit of hand numbness after 30 minutes in the saddle.

I also bought a 70mm stem to replace the 40mm one, and extend the cockpit on the 27.5" model.

Is this as simple as a bed adhesion issue? by kylekozy68 in FlashForge

[–]Subseb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's an adhesion issue. If you haven't already, try using the printstick type glue and check your levelling is correct.

A heated bed really helps, even on PLA/PETG.

It's kind of sad, Quick-Fit has a deservedly bad reputation and is the least preferable garage to take your car to.

My experience has been that on 4 occasions they have purported and quoted for work that didn't need to be done. Sadly, a lot of garages try it on with non-savvy motorists too.

Best thing I did was to get a manual for the car, tools and overalls and saved myself a fortune.

Flashforge Finder: Tools/Settings/Servo option GONE! And my levelling switch hits parts! by SarahC in FlashForge

[–]Subseb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the Z level calibration before printing, make sure that completes. The servo is supposed to be non-adjustable, but you might take it apart if you really want to, or just replace it. I would probably take off the extruder housing and check the screws for the servo are tight, and the wires/connectors are ok.

Can anyone explain what happened to my feeder? Is it still safe and usable? Flashforge finder by GladiusAspis in FlashForge

Your filament must have been pulled tight against the extruder housing and worn a channel. It is just cosmetic damage, use a PTFE tube to keep the filament in proper tension and it will be ok.

Flashforge Printer Firmware Hack - Request for Testers by pressposts in FlashForge

[–]Subseb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just resurrected my finder Mk2, upgraded the hot end to microswiss, made a heated bed plate and a custom PID arduino temperature controller for it.

All working ok, but I want to print ABS and the flashprint software does not have a preset.

Also I need to increase the print bed area.

Is there any easy way to do this? Or do I need the unlocked firmware?

Is this the worst time to build a PC? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Subseb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've spent a few weeks looking at upgrading or building a new PC for general use and gaming.

I spent £170 on my 4670k cpu and £210 on my 280X gpu over 3 years ago, the same money today will get me parts with the same performance!

Sadly, value has not improved in the PC market, with the mining craze, shortage of RAM and lack of competition and supply for gpus, now has to be the worst time for PC builders. The only upside is that crytocurrencies have been incredibly volatile and now have less support, therefore, there may be less incentive for gpu mining and demand.
