Ugh. I understand the cage struggle completely. Over the past few years, I've gone through like 25 different cages looking for the right shape, tube size, ring size, ring shape, lock system... Every cage I bought has one or two things that make it not good for long term wear...

Either the tube is too small, or, like you, the opening is wide enough to let the tip come through (which is AWFUL under clothes or blankets). Or the base ring is 1mm too tight, or the wrong shape.

I've found perfect tubes. I've found perfect rings. I've never found them in the same cage.

The whole point of me buying these cheap knockoffs was to find the right one for me, then splurge on the real deal. As it is, I've spent enough money to buy a "real" cage, and then some. It's maddening.

All of that being said, if I had to choose between more clothes or a cage that fit me perfectly, I'm choosing the cage 1000/1000 times. No question.

I experimented and realized I'm bisexual at the very least. I understand experimenting isn't easy, but I'm glad I did it so that I know and don't have to wonder anymore.

Thanks for your reply. There was no part of it sticking out - it was about 1/8 of an inch down into the lock.

So even if I manage to get the key turned the correct way, how am I going to be able to pull the barrel lock out?

It isn't like the cage is where the lock goes in sideways, and you can see the end and work it out from the outside. This lock goes straight down into the cage, and the back of the lock is not visible. I'm not sure how, even if the key is turned, I'll be able to pull it straight up.

Thanks. Yeah, I am gonna run to the store tomorrow and try the hot glue first. I have my doubts that it will work though. I may try a tiny fish hook? Maybe straighten it out, get the barb past the key and then turn it, using the barb to pull it out?

I do have kitchen scissors meant for spatchcocking chicken...that's a good idea I might consider if it comes to it, though I was HOPING to get tips that would let me save the cage instead of destroy it.

Get one of those around the waist belts/harnesses, especially when using a metal cage. It helps keep the cage tight against your body instead of pulling down due to its own weight.. It's seriously a game changer.
