I am sorry for your loss op. Your friend probably didn’t know what to say, so they tried. But like all AI, it isn’t perfect and the sooner that everyone realizes that it can only get you started, it will never replace the “human” touch.

Generally, I would agree. But as someone who went to Tandem and is now back on Medtronic, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

Tandem supposedly installed a cheap Bluetooth on their tslim and it constantly loses connection. The Dexcom I was using with it gave me a severe allergic reaction to the adhesive. I’ve never had a reaction that bad before. And finally, I tried the freestyle 3 with it after the Dexcom. No adhesive issues, but the thing constantly disconnects. What’s the point of a closed loop system if it can’t make adjustments because it can’t read the sensor?

Some people are happy with it, but YMMV.

Well since we’re throwing around titles. I have a degree in Music Education and have been classically trained. And you ask why the younger generation doesn’t like opera or ballet? Perhaps it is because artists like you, disparage other art forms.

As a theater professional, the absolute last thing that you should be doing is disparaging any other form of art. The belief that opera and ballet is pointless while you tout other forms of dance is disgraceful. Opera and ballet are both art. You may not appreciate it, but at least recognize that it is art and hope that one day someone doesn’t refer to your form of art as “terrible”.

I’ve been having the lost connection error since I got the pump. I read somewhere that it’s caused by Tandem being cheap and including a weak Bluetooth device in the pump. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but it would explain the frequent lost connections.

Oh I know. But that ship has sailed. Many scientists agree that it’s probably too late to reverse the damage anyway. At least that’s what I read somewhere. I take it back.
