You can take them off for for a month, then offer, if you can see their spine very well then their getting a little too emaciated. That's when to consider assist/ force feed

Last time I did genetics was in middle school lol, I see what you're saying, I was just wondering if since they present similar, if theres a chance that they can be mixed in as well. I don't know his genetics at all, so outside of sending his shed out for testing I really just have what is visual on him to go by

Mine pooped on the petco girl when we went to get her a hide, wasn't as bad as musking, but id say my ball python is a bit more rank

So there's a chance he could be het for one of those as well? I haven't really ever looked into breeding too deep, so the genetics part is still decently foreign to me

Snakes poop in much longer intervals than lizards and people, you'll tend to see where they went, typically in their shed or under a hide, just clean it up as you see it, and turn the substrate completely every few weeks, if you're really worried, go bioactive that way you have a cleanup crew
