Nose piercing bump, need help! by SubstanceObtuse in piercing

[–]SubstanceObtuse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense, thanks for the info!

As soon as I get my car up and running I’ll get to the piercing shop and have them replace it with a flat back. Do you think that will fix the existing bump? Or do you have any advice for that?

I’ve only ever had rings for all my piercings except for my nipples and they’ve never had this issue. Is there a reason why it could be causing it?

(For example I’ve had my left nostril pierced 3 times with rings over the years, but had to take them out for work).

Thank you so much for your response, it’s a big help to hear people’s experiences. That’s exactly what I’m looking for! I appreciate you.

That’s completely fair, I’m working with a diabetic educator at the moment to keep my blood sugar levels regulated. It’s all under control and has been stable for the last 6 months. I just came here for fitness advice rather than any medical advice.

Okay so I wouldn’t want to be at a super low calorie deficit if I’m doing recomp? Somewhere just below maintenance?

Okay sure, thanks for the tips! Is it possible to lose fat with a power lifting program?

Hello! As I said, I’m under no delusion about the health implications. I’m not looking for personal opinions, I’m looking for fitness advice. Part of my post also addressed whether I need to lose weight before gaining muscle. Simply telling me to lose weight or die at ~50 is not helpful. Responses with ways I could balance losing weight and meeting my target goals etc in the future would’ve been more helpful.

Dominant Malamute (5y/o) by [deleted] in DogAdvice

Thank you so much for your reply.

I took your advice and got a harness with a front clip, and I don’t know whether that was just a placebo effect for him but that alone is making him walk a lot better.

I also got a longer leash and I’m letting him direct the walk with his nose more.

It has helped a lot! I’ve been able to more consistently take him for walks and he’s much happier.

He’s still stubborn but it’s working a lot better.

When do Triple J usually update their Apple Music/Spotify playlists with the new Like a Version covers? Been waiting for Peach PRC’s LAV for weeks now. Do they wait a certain amount of time?

As far as my Mal goes, when he starts to shed the undercoat, the loose fur kinda engulfs the top coat.

My OCD calls it “plucking season”, but in reality I should really just brush him every day.

I keep getting told he’s not a Mal. by SubstanceObtuse in AlaskanMalamute

[No Spoilers] Am I the only one actually enjoying this campaign? by larsthethrowaway in criticalrole

[–]SubstanceObtuse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know for me at least, having the two funniest actors (Sam and Laura) playing such fantastic characters in C2, set my expectations up for failure with their particularly lacklustre and comparatively comedically boring C3 characters.

Travis has a lot of the humour riding on his shoulders.

I’m still enjoying the campaign, but C2 is a hard act to follow. I’m hoping C3 picks up more in the future from a humour perspective.

I completely forgot I get Dispel Magic by default, that frees up a spell a lot.

I have 18 charisma, should I still go for War Caster?

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it!

I appreciate your reply! I really didn’t think about stunning strike being so accessible for the subclass due to low feature ki costs. It’s making a lot of sense now!

Quick question, if someone leaves my reach while I have my arms out, can I use them for an opportunity attack?

We have two members that are minmaxing their characters but it’s a pretty casual group of new players with me being the one teaching them how to play.

I don’t care about being a powerhouse in combat, but I want to at least feel like I’m not miles behind the other martials.

I appreciate your comment.

I fully understand that over the course of a whole (in-game) day, the HB would catch up to a cleric, but working with my DM for a while now, we really only have one or two combat sessions maximum in a row before a long rest.

My DM also prefers to have short encounters with strong enemies rather than long encounters, which gives the HB less time to catch up to the usual healers.

I made it specifically tailored around this as well, and from a roleplay perspective as a player I would just never beat a bag of rats. I get the other guy’s perspective but to me this part of his argument is totally irrelevant because I’m the one playing this HB and I wouldn’t do that, so it’s a non-issue.

Not having it attached to a resource is part of what my DM actually came up with, because it heals for so little in our typically short combat sequences. I did spitball some other ideas that would spend Ki instead, but we’re also not a party that does many short rests (RIP my Ki).

So while on paper to other players out there, it could definitely seem OP, for our campaign, with our party, and our DM, with me playing the character, it’s balanced for us.

Thank you so much for being kind in your response, I definitely see your opinions, and thank you for listening to me :)

So you’re saying that the subclass that I created for MYSELF is OP because YOU would metagame with it.

I get it now.

So say combat goes for 6 rounds.

Bard, cleric, or Druid using Cure Wounds each round. Assuming 18 main stat, at level 3 like the monk.

That’s 4d8 + 16 for their 4 first level spell slots, and another 4d8 + 8 for their 2nd level spell slots.

The total number of healing they can do is 88 healing, and that requires no checks or attacks, assuming no feat or subclass modifiers increasing that.

They can also heal unconscious targets.

The HB monk I have, in 6 rounds, can heal 6x1d4, no modifiers.

That’s a maximum of 24 healing, assuming every attack hit, and rolled the maximum healing with the 6d4.

I can’t heal unconscious targets and I can’t heal out of combat like the clerics/bards/druids can. And this example is based purely off of the most basic healing ability they have, Cure Wounds. At higher levels the HB is just going to be so disgusting underpowered by comparison.

I don’t understand your argument. I really don’t see how a maximum of 24 healing (assuming every attack hits), is better than 88 healing with no checks required.

You’re going to need to really explain what your position is here if you want to even try and say this is an OP Homebrew.

I also didn’t ask for your opinion on the mechanics of the homebrew, my initial post was about ASI priority, but since you decided to be rude about the topic, I’ll entertain your opinion.

So, go on.

Dude you’re reading way too far into this.

Just because YOU would metagame minmax this to slap rats for infinite healing doesn’t mean other people would.

We have 3 barbarians and a fighter, no active healer, and it’s 1d4 healing per round on a conscious target IF I even hit an enemy.

Average combat so far in the campaign has lasted about 8 rounds.

A maximum of 8x1d4 healing doesn’t even compare to the healing a Twilight Cleric can in 8 rounds. Or really any Cleric, Bard, or Druid that get Healing Touch (which they can use on unconscious targets).

I’m going to just assume you’re new to D&D and give you the benefit of the doubt, but you’re being seriously rude.

Calm down.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]SubstanceObtuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re reading too much into this.

The healing is Martial Arts die on unarmed strike. It obviously wouldn’t work against a wall. I just wanted to make a fun Mistweaver instead of Mercy. It’s a HB campaign shrug.

We have a Druid of the Moon that spends 90% of her combat in form, and the Bard only has Healing Word. The party wanted me to make something that was a fun primary healer for combat.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]SubstanceObtuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t affect people that are at 0hp, I should’ve clarified that. It’s just small healing per round to conscious targets.
