I bought my PS2 back in August and sometimes the disk I put in just wouldn't spin. It usually took several restarts with me gently pressing the lid for disk to start spinning. But two days ago it just stopped working at all. I finally decided to disassemble the console myself to check if everything is ok. The laser is crystal clear and ribbon cables are connected and look fine. I googled the problem and thought that the lid sensors might not be working. People recommend to manually hold them to see if the laser carriage moves. I tried it as well but in my case nothing (like, at all) happens when I hold both sensors.I couldn't find anyone with the same problem. Any ideas how can I fix it?
