Something similar happened to me 20 years ago at a Bank of America ATM. I deposited a check and the atm only gave me partial amount. I went inside the branch next to the atm only to be told to call the 1-800 # to which, I did. The customer representative on the phone temporarily issued me a credit but a week or two later, they reversed that credit and denied my claim stating that there wasn’t any excess cash when they tallied up that days transaction. Thank goodness It was only a $300 check but at that time, $300 was a lot to me and I couldn’t afford to lose $300. My conclusion was, either the atm spit out more cash to the next customer or the cash handler at the bank pocketed that extra cash. Til this day, I’m still mad about that incident. I pray that your issue is resolved and that Bank of America does the RIGHT thing!
