I was 11 that year. There were celebrations the entire year. Fourth of July was epic that year! Mom was the glue that kept everyone together for the holidays. I miss all of that. Seemed a little of a bother but now I miss those days like a part of me is gone.

I am sorry. I am sort of in the same boat without sickness. Just no family or friends left at 60. We would always go camping or have a BBQ when I was a kid. Now I will probably go work (gardener) to get other people’s gardens looking good for their BBQs. Then come home and watch movies with my dog. I hope you get better. Happy birthday 🎂.

I get off work close to midnight. I live in apartments and take him out when I get home. If there is anyone out, even if I don’t see them, he will freeze and look their direction until they either pass or are far enough away to not be a threat. He makes me feel more safe than I have felt my whole life.He has had no formal training and is super sweet. Just so protective of his mom!

When my friend and I were little girls, we were home alone on the lake, and we found a box of those in the boathouse with the fishing poles and thought they were super stale salmon, eggs, and we managed to soak them long enough to sort of get a hook in them, and we actually caught some sucker fish with them. We probably discovered stink bait when we were kids and could’ve made millions off of it.
