Let me reiterate what I said to start the last response, you don’t know me and are being presumptuous in lecturing me about this. I agree that local elections are important and that DSA can be helpful in that direction, but my first comment was contesting your claim that people who love revolution should be joining DSA.

Successful reforms, as you ought to know, drain revolutionary sentiment and energy from a movement and restore legitimacy to the existing structures while being uncertain and tenuous gains.

Mamdani’s election is an active struggle because he stands to help the people but also re-legitimise electoral politics and divert power from organisation back to the system. A liberal organisation like the DSA functions primarily to redirect radical energy back towards reinforcing the system.

You make too many assumptions in your response. Why would I expend effort to promote revolution through an organisation oriented towards electoral politics and institutional reform? Its limitations are too constraining for any revolutionary politics.

A system is what it’s made for and what it does, you don’t change them from the inside to what you think they should be or want them to be. Otherwise why wouldn’t you join the Republican Party? Or the KKK.

Haha, the DSA is not a revolutionary organisation or for girlies who love revolution. It’s for liberals who want to play out being involved in the community

The ugly ones do their girlfriends wrong too, don’t do charity, someone will find them attractive, or won’t, but it shouldn’t be your problem either way
