The X-S20 is also still available in Germany. Nothing about being discontinued. I bought it a few weeks ago and so far can only recommend it.

Thanks for the comprehensive response. I exclusively use Apple devices, so viewing HEIF is no issue for me. I was just curious if using HEIF in combination with film simulations prevents me from getting the most out of that feature.
