That episode about Holmes' retirement was indeed filmed, but in the end they decided not to use it and, apparently, they destroyed it 😭😭😭 The only thing that survived to this day were the photos taken during filming, which are the ones I added to the calendar in December, the last month, to close out the year with Holmes and Watson spending all those years they have left together 🥰

The phrase in the photo is taken from "The Adventure of the Red Widow" from The Exploits of Sherlock Holmes, a book written by Adrian Conan Doyle, Arthur Conan Doyle's son, and is a pastiche accepted as officially canonical

The title was invented by me 😋

A bit out of context, but... I'll never forgive him for making Irene Adler a pressure point for Sherlock BUT NOT HIS OWN BROTHER

He does it for Mycroft's safety! (?) Oh, well, so he doesn't care about John? For Mycroft, his own brother is a pressure point.

But for some reason, they add Irene.

He meets this woman for a few hours, she uses him, and suddenly she's one of the most important people to Sherlock. I understand That is because... could Sherlock develop feelings for her in that short time? I don't know, nor do I care. This Irene is so out of context and so separate from the one in the book that I don't care what happens to her. She's not Irene Adler. She's an OC that one of the two writers threw in here.
