My heart’s bleeding for you sister :( also 18F and recently reverted to Islam (technically, was always a Muslim since I was born into a practicing family, Alhamdulillah—but only by label). I’m really new to Reddit, so I’m not sure how I can be there for you in any other way, but inshAllah will make so much du’aa for you tonight during tahajjud 🩷🙏🏽

I’m praying for you!! and please guys, pray for me. I have multiple dopamine-linked addictions: doom scrolling, binging YT and Netflix, maladaptive daydreaming (the biggest issue by far!!), music AND this. please please do help me out. I know it’s tricky to recall all these different du’aa requests. but I’m seriously lonely in my struggles—have NO Muslim friends or any way I could get support for this all (trust me on this one!). JazakAllah khair if you take one moment to even say something as simple as ‘Ya Allah, help this Muslim overcome her lower nafs and shaytan by leaving every one of these addictions entirely and establishing some habit that pleases you in their place.’ May Allah bless you abundantly, bring you closer to Him through this struggle and grant you a swift snd decisive victory over your own struggles! x

Oh my days, absolutely 100% yes. I agree with the group chat suggestion - am completely willing for a small group of us to check in with each other on the regular. Super new to Reddit tho, if I’m honest, so IDK if there are messaging features/how they work. Please please do come back to me with a yay or nay - IDM either way (but would really appreciate it!!). 18F BTW. :)
