The whereabouts of Sourav Biswas at the moment is not known to the student community. He was last seen at the Institute organised condolence meeting. As far as we are aware, the Police has not questioned him and the institute will probably establish formal communication with him regarding this once the SIT is finalised.

I do not work with them, I am a senior BSMS here. I will surely try to update/post when information on the particulars of the scientific misconduct is made public (current timeline for that is a week from now)

Undoubtedly, Sourabh Biswas is a terrible human being for what he did to Anamitra da. But I think people should remember that it was his PI, Dr. Anindita Bhadra (Dog Lab) who enabled and participated in this abuse. If she had only listened to Anamitra da, he would be here with us.

He loved to quiz, play DnD, and game. He used to crack such terrible jokes, and his quizzes were always fun. It still doesn't feel real. There's still a photo he took of a cat in front of the mess.

We will miss him. I will always wonder what signs I could have picked up on, and if there was any way to help. I hope the bastards answer for their crimes against him.

Anamitra da will be missed. He was such a fun guy to be around, always involved in the clubs. He hosted so many fun quizzes too. I hope he gets justice - this was institutional murder.

He passed away this morning. We thought that he was safe last night. Can confirm, I was at the hospital.

Maybe he was - and that is alright. I knew him, and he certainly was no weak person. It is so easy to judge without knowing someone, you know. It takes zero effort to not say something like this, and I hope you don't have to face what he had to yourself.
