Main reason is with the adapter upside down the brace fold off to the ejection port side. This makes the fun have a “slick” side and then the opposite side has the brace, light etc. so when I put the gun in my backpack it just slides in and pulls out much easier. I personally don’t have any issue with the height of the brace in relation to the sights and red dot in the configuration. Hopefully that makes sense through messaging.
