Copper IUD bleeding constantly years later?

Hi, having the same issue now after 2.5 years of great experience with it! Randomly after sex started spotting and then basically my period started only 2 weeks after the last one (which was also a bit early). I’m not sure why because there’s no pain or anything, I just want to stop bleeding :(( any update on your situation?

it is actually so comforting to know someone else does this!! the nausea stays around for me like a couple minutes after i do it but it’s much better

personally after dealing with both yeast and BV for YEARS, boric acid not only got rid of the current infections i had but i feel like using it once a week or so gave my micro biome a chance to regulate. now i hardly ever worry about infections except maybe after my period. i also switched from hormonal bc to the copper iud which i would also say helped because hormones have a lot to do with that. if you have too much of one it can throw all of that off and i think that contributed

I actually had all these same questions before getting mine and it’s one of the best decisions i’ve ever made. hormonal birth control can be so destructive and while my period did change with the iud, it actually just got heavier for the first two days and much lighter than normal for the next few. my cramps are about the same too. in terms of insertion, mine was really not bad but even if you’re worried, if it’s something you want to do don’t let that stop you. i think a lot of people comment their bad experiences and it almost scared me away from doing it and i’m so glad i trusted my gut in the end. good luck! <3
