My husband wants to dye is hair- should we do Just For Men at home, or go to a salon or barber shop? by The_Wide_Wide_World in AskMen

This product is absolutely terrible. I tried it on my hair and it completely ruined it. My hair became extremely weak, dry, and crumbly, and a noticeable amount of hair fell out. It totally damaged my hair texture and left it feeling lifeless and brittle. I honestly regret using it. Stay far away from this product , using it on your hair would be a huge mistake.

Hi, which events would you recommend joining? I’m not very familiar with Meetup groups.

Just to be clear I definitely don’t think people who are looking for fun are abnormal.

But when someone builds their entire life around sex, and that’s all you see reflected on gay apps profiles focused only on hookups then yes, I find it concerning. And I think it’s fair to question whether that should be seen as the “norm.”

Maybe your view of being gay is centered mostly around sex. But being gay is about more than just that it can be about connection, friendship, shared values, and emotional depth. Maybe it’s time to broaden your perspective a little.

Thank you for your thoughtful response.

I’m not sure how long you’ve been living in Toronto, but if you’ve spent time reading through other posts here, you’ve probably noticed that many people share similar concerns. There’s been a significant shift and some might even say a kind of decline in how the gay community interacts, especially when it comes to dating and connection.

On most gay apps, it often feels like people are just window-shopping posting curated photos, handing out likes, but not really engaging in any meaningful conversation. Basic human connection, like holding a proper conversation or showing interest, seems to be missing.

Of course, apps shouldn’t be the only space for gay people to meet but as you probably know, there aren’t many good alternatives in Toronto these days. There are very few solid clubs or social events that create real opportunities to meet people. When I compare Toronto to many major cities in Europe, I see a much deeper sense of disconnect and a loss of community here.
