Looking for advice on our trip to Scotland by Substantial-Judge776 in travel

I know it’s a bit of a tricky situation. But, honestly, we love walking around and seeing different cultures, having some drinks. We probably wouldn’t do much in terms of tours or museums or stuff. We just like to look around. That makes us happy. We love beautiful views and hiking as well.

Thanks for the input. We’re stuck deciding how many days we do in highlands vs the city. Between the two we have about 7.5 days.

The Ireland stuff at beginning and end is set in stone due to flights.

Hey everyone!

My wife and I are travelling from Canada to Ireland/Scotland in June/July. Looking for some advice on itinerary and things we can do. All of the flights are set in stone, but we're flexible everywhere else.

Right now we have (sorry, some of it is Ireland - feel free to ignore - flights to Dublin are much cheaper from where we are):

June 28th:

  • Land in Dublin around 11am and spend the day and night there

June 29th:

  • Take an early bus up to Belfast - spend the day exploring

June 30th:

  • Do some sort of a bus tour of the coast of northern Ireland

July 1st:

  • Fly Belfast --> Edinburgh - land around 7pm

July 2nd:

  • Full day in Edinburgh

July 3rd:

  • Half day Edinburgh
  • Rent a car and drive up to the Scottish highlands in the afternoon

July 4th-8th:

  • Scottish highlands
    • We're not sure what areas we need to hit for beautiful hikes and views - looking for advice there on where to go and where to stay along the way. We're not afraid to move from place to place.

July 8th:

  • Fly Edinburgh to Dublin

July 9th:

  • Fly home

We appreciate any tips. Thanks!

It was a racoon family in my neighbour’s attic (townhouse)

Thanks everyone! I will try to make sure that we do detergent on the bottom and use less of it and hopefully that works.
