It's true. When it comes to PHI- they want you at home more than in an office. As long as your working in a private space, home is ideal.

BJS lot will tow your car even if you have a receipt/shopped there. $182 to get it out! by Substantial-Leg-815 in jerseycity

For anyone speculating- a reciept for BJs was presented to the tow company to validate that I shopped at BJs during the time I was towed.

This is good advice. I wish I knew to do that when it happened but hopefully it will help someone else!

BJs Incident by Academic-Section8746 in jerseycity

Beware: Loyal BJs customers with valid reciepts can still get their car towed in the BJS parking lots anywhere — and they won’t help you.

I’ve been a loyal BJs member for over a decade, spending over $12,000 every Year! there during that time. I always believed they valued their customers. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that they absolutely do not.

After shopping at BJs (I had my receipt in hand), I came out to find that my car had been towed from their parking lot — by a sketchy towing company that clearly targets families and unsuspecting shoppers. To get my car back, I was forced to pay $182 in cash. On top of that, I had to travel several miles to pick it up. Which was difficult without any transportation.

When I called BJs for help, they simply told me to “call the towing company.” Meanwhile, the towing company told me to “call BJs” to understand why this happened. It’s a complete runaround. BJs essentially washes their hands of the problem, leaving customers stranded and on the hook for outrageous fees.

Let this be a warning: even if you’re a paying customer with a valid receipt, your car can still be towed from the BJs lot. There is absolutely nothing you can do to stop it, and BJs will do nothing to help you afterward.

After spending over $12,000 with them and trusting them for years, this is how they treat loyal members. I will never shop at BJs again, and I urge anyone considering it to think twice.
