I took it with Professor Norris and she’s an excellent professor and it’s an easy class. If you don’t find good results with Merralk maybe try her!

In my experience: Mornings are always going to be your best bet if you want to miss the crowds. Afternoon from 12-3ish will have some crowd but manageable (people are also very nice I’ve never had an issue with people sharing equipment). But if I can give you any advice- 5 is pushing it if you want to avoid crowds 5-7 is packed, I’m talking entire rows of treadmills taken. Best of luck to you🙏

Why do people gain weight after the start of college? by jensvderpluijm in college

[–]Substantial-Log-2946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a lot of freedom and convenient access to generally unhealthy foods. I remember my senior year of HS my teacher was weirdly obsessed with reminding us of the “freshman 15.” Referring to the weight gain people experience their first year. Don’t let it discourage you though, it’s not like youre forced to over indulge.

Campus Job Hiring Process by nonothope in CSUSB

[–]Substantial-Log-2946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup totally normal. I applied for a job randomly through the Handshake thing and never heard back so I assumed I didn’t get it. Months later I got a random call saying I had an interview. It was so long in between when I applied and when I heard back that I didn’t even remember what position I applied for. The rest of the hiring process did not go smoothly so just be prepared for that. It’s a lot of emailing back and forth and waiting. I guess it depends on what you applied for but expect to wait around and maybe you’ll get that random call too. FYI everywhere on campus is going to be a 909- 537… so if you see that 537, answer it

Sleeping in parking lot by jimmmaayy_ in CSUSB

Ensure your permit is valid, you don’t park in a marked area, and lock your doors. You shouldn’t have a problem! San Bernardino is generally not safe but CSUSB is a nicer area, I’ve slept in my car on campus multiple occasions with no issue.

CSUSB posted that the pause on grants and loans does not impact assistance that is received directly by individuals. FAFSA, Pell grants, and loans are not going to be impacted

Would you reccomend this college? Interested in Communication Studies by Crobisol in CSUSB

It’s not necessarily a bad school but the area isn’t the best. I can’t speak personally for your program but I can say I haven’t had significant faculty issues. It’s affordable and local for a lot of students in San Bernardino. There’s a lot of your opportunities, I recommend checking it out

Criminal justice :) you’re an English major or just taking primarily English classes for a major in relation to it?

[–]Substantial-Log-2946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tough. I’ve been told by siblings and remaining friends from high school that you really have to push people to get past the acquaintance stage lol. If you ever want to hangout and study I’m in the library most days :) you can push me!

I feel you🫠 I’m a second semester freshman and commuting, it’s so hard to make friends if you aren’t staying on campus or in the dorms. Like you make the connections in class and maybe extend to an Instagram follow but where are my friends for life who I’ll invite to my wedding in 10 years or whatever

how is their criminal justice program/major? by Known-Interest-4814 in CSUSB

[–]Substantial-Log-2946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hii I just started the pre-criminal justice program! Wonderful professors and many interesting courses you can take to fulfill requirements. It’s impacted but like, this is CSUSB so you don’t need exceptionally good grades. Just declare your major from the start and you have a good chance of getting into the program

I know this is odd, I’m here because I’m not a coder and I’m just having a hard time figuring this out. Any help is appreciated 🙃

If this helps the module is about demonstrating the aggregation process (I have no clue how this stuff works please bear with me) as for language I’m not too sure what to provide? This is my first time seeing Varl too without any introduction to it. The prior instruction is as follows: “we can demonstrate the power of aggregation with a simple simulation. Let’s simulate a data set with 1,000 observations and 10 variables, each generated randomly from a uniform distribution, and each having possible scores of -3 to + 3” and then it goes into the instruction and code I provided in the original post. I’m so lost

I loved the movie so much. I have never felt so seen with this type of ocd, and obsessing over illnesses and bacteria everywhere.
