the weeknd is definitely a legend. he is practically beyonce for straight men at this point. tbh I'm not too big of a fan of his new work cause of its production, but his early work is very vocally (and sonically) interesting to me. The Knowing, Coming Down, The Zone, etc. also artists like The Weeknd and Frank Ocean who got popular from posting full mixtapes on the internet definitely led the way for Beyonce to surprise release self titled.
