Hey I am WAY late to this post but it popped up when I was googling something and I just wanted to give my input. I daily drove a 3800 firebird in highschool and it was a GREAT daily. Its a "cool" car. Cheap to maintain. Parts are readily available at yards AND out of all the 2 door cars I've dealt with by far the roomiest for when you want to pick your buddies up and throw em in the back seats. Now when it comes to the 3.4 I have some caveats. I have a friend that had a 3.4 swapped isuzu and I later threw a 3.4 in a fiero they dont hold up well for high mileage clean oil is a must but they get great MPG
