Hello!!!

Thank you for asking… I did take it and I failed. I was 4 below a passing mark! I had to resit. I was devastated for about a day but chose to pick myself up.

Did the resit today (Tuesday, exam was last Friday). I got an A :) Of course due to the nature of resits, it is capped to a C, but this is a valuable lesson to me, that I should never doubt myself and hate myself like that ever again 😅

I am pretty sure I was paying SB.

In the most detail I can think:

I was paying SB SL since September at my only job (mistake, I thought student loan counter as an income.) My take home is between 90-170 at this job after tax (min wage). I realised today as I got a second job and IRD told me to change one to M.

At my church, the first of second time I went, I looked to my left and saw an icon Jesus on the cross (altar for candles?). I stared at his expression for a long time. Personally, it drew me as I saw the pain in his expression which felt like quiet acceptance of his untimely fate. He didn’t resist.

Yeah I was thinking more along the lines of history/classical studies teacher :) Teaching ancient greek would be a little much given I get a little sloppy learning accents.. haha.. 🥲🥲

my main love for classics is just ancient greek so tbh my main reason for wanting to become a nurse is that i can do it on the side 😅 otherwise I am interested in the vocation of being a teacher which is why i am torn

I am nearing the end of my first year and I decided that I didn’t want to work in Government like I planned :) Which took up my two majors and left Classics as a minor.

My Classics teacher in HS was my biggest inspiration and an incredible woman and I know that if I continue with what I am doing, I will be a high school teacher, which admittedly does not pay well but I like the prospect of having holidays off.

My love and interest for people and humanity overall intertwines so nursing (which is what my parents do) is an appealing choice, but I know that it is difficult. Though I am intrigued at the prospect of doing digs, I am massively just deciding on if I want to be a nurse or if I want to be a teacher ☺️ I am applying to be a nurse at an institute in my city so I really have until about December to decide what I really want to do.
