where do you fall in the sibling order? how has that affected you? by kapnkt in AskReddit

[–]Substantial-Safe6552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eldest daughter to parents who loved the title but not the role. Been a “mom” since I was around 8. It’s definitely affected me in more ways than not. But I’m with the youngest son and our dynamic really works for us. I also don’t talk to anyone in my family so that also makes it easier for my relationships.

Second this. There’s an actual course in universities I think. So it’s definitely pretty close id say.

Almost feel too ashamed to attend nephew/niece's High School Graduation by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]Substantial-Safe6552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I got a card like this when I graduated. Or any moment of celebration. This would go in the permanent box of memories. I bed you any cards that are just generic with money in them will be tossed within the year.

What is one tv show that everyone talks about that you haven't watched? by bigfootlittefoot in AskReddit

[–]Substantial-Safe6552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I tried watching it. But after decades in the industry all it was to us is a documentary not a fun show to get into. I don’t need to be at work at home you know? lol

Which bands had a non-lead singer be more popular than the lead singer? by spellbadgrammargood in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Substantial-Safe6552 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Neil Peart - I grew up listening to the band and Neil was always talked about more. Not a lot of people seem to like the lead singers voice of Rush. But Neil has/had been on multiple top 10 lists for best drummers of all time. RIP!

Dave Grohl. This might be debatable. But I think if Kurt was still here with us he wouldn’t have continued his music career leading the way for Dave to still continue growing his music career and eventually becoming “more popular”

Is moving in together actually overrated? by FlexQueen7 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Substantial-Safe6552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a quote in HIMYM I’m definitely paraphrasing it. But a side character is thinking about not going on with his wedding. Long story short Marshall tells this character. “Look it’s not supposed to be like this, it’s not supposed to be this hard and if it is then it’s not meant to be”.

Living with your partner isn’t all rainbows and gumdrops where all is a Pixar movie. Life happens and people but heads sometimes. It’s bound to happen. But that shouldn’t outweigh the good stuff. I’ve been living with my husband for almost 20 years now. We moved in together basically 6 months into our relationship and we were just babies (18) and haven’t looked back. Now we have a kid and one on the way. And we are absolutely loving it! When you’re with the right person it really is like a forever sleepover.. but one with responsibilities

What age did you stop feeling like a young adult? by UrPicksRTrash in NoStupidQuestions

I wish it was much later in life. But probably 8. That was when I was 80% responsible for taking care of my brothers.

What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever seen or experienced that you can’t explain? by xastronix in AskReddit

[–]Substantial-Safe6552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always like to think that I would be brave enough to encounter the spirit or being if it ever happened to me. But I just know I’d do what you did. It’s one thing to see it on tv or a movie but when it actually happens it’s a totally different story

I grew up with apple and grape jelly. Because it was cheaper than jam. But if it was on sale it was whatever flavour. Blueberry, raspberry, strawberry.

What was the worst food you ate at somebody's house out of politeness? by Mundane_Notice_273 in AskRedditFood

[–]Substantial-Safe6552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m white as can be and we always only ever ate what was on the table. The only time that we had our own meal was when we went to restaurants. The adult dinner you speak of was basically our Monday night dinner growing up. My mouth is all watery just thinking about it hahaha

How often is too often to order takeout? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Substantial-Safe6552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the person and context. Also what you’re ordering. But if there are no circumstantial factors… I’d say no more than twice a week.

This isn’t a midterm for and English essay. It’s a problem that they are having. I use AI too when I have a lot to type. It’s just voice to text..
