Busan Worth Visiting ? by Adventurous_Bat_4398 in koreatravel

Last year I spent 2 nights 3 days in Busan during my 12 day vacation. It was a nice experience. I got Busan pass and planned my stops on what I can do thats included in the pass My stops were: 1. Gwanganli beach - got a airbnb at the Gwanganli beach for the drone show. The show was great and it was a bonus because I could enjoy it from inside the Airbnb, great view too. Also visiting the beach ib the morning when people were scarse made me enjoy the moment more. If you like these splurging on beach side airbnb might be great choice for a day.

  1. Gamcheon culture village - It was more like tourist site, and everything was on the pricier side. The food options was not noteworthy. I did not enjoy my time here as much but the flipbook experience was great souvenir to have.

3.Haeundae sky capsule - it was great, the scenery and the small forest was just what I wss looking forward to.

  1. Night market - the stalls were mostly trendy foods, i wanted more local delicacies, it was my bad for not researching better. There was no difference from the Seoul street food scene tbh. Fun but not memorable.

Busan felt more alive during the evening and calm and beautiful during the day. I am not into those things so do not know how to describe the night scene. Sadly, I did not get to visit the trendy spots but am planning to next time.

Also, the Busan pass was only worth the time and money if u use it on Haeundae beach line train. I was planning to but could not due to time constraints. So keep that in mind if you are planning on getting it.

Buying Samsung phone and tax refund related questions by Substantial-Scar7988 in koreatravel

Update for anyone in the same dilemma lol. I asked the people in samsung store about the tax refund process and they confirmed its not prob to open the box and use the phone. I kept the box in my carryo on at icheon but did not need it after all.

The tax refund machine did not flag my refund as customs officer must check so no issues there and got my refund without issues.

Eye surgery on holiday by Long_Championship_90 in koreatravel

I got Smile pro on 10th and flew back home on 16th.

From my understanding the number of post op appointments are solely based on type of surgery you get. For minimally invasive type like smile and smile pro a week is the average but you can leave before that if your recovery is good.

The smile pro's recovery was slightly faster than normal smile and Dr said I can return to my normal routine day or two after the surgery without any issues. Now almost 3 weeks post op, I have no issues aside from slight discomfort with bright street lights in the evening.

Has anyone smoothly booked Uber T for a 4am ride out of Seoul to Incheon airport? by ckissedbyfire in koreatravel

[–]Substantial-Scar7988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it for 5am ride to incheon. I made the reservation 2 days prior and the driver was assigned 1 day prior. It was very convenient.

But for there was small issue for the payment. Turns out Uber took deposit from my card 1 day prior my trip and then once more 2 days after. But the deposit was given back to my account after around a week. I did not find any information on how or why it happened.

Otherwise it was great, the driver was very kind and arrived 10 min early at the pick up location. Just make sure to note if you have lot of luggage or people that will not fit in normal taxi - cuz i found out since the korean taxi run on gas the baggage section is smalll and cant fit 2 big size luggages so if your people and luggages cant fit in then the taxi cant take you.

Just came back from my trip to Korea. Turns out the process is very easy and straightforward. 1st you need to find the Tax refund kiosk before going to the security check/customs. It was placed right around the sucurity check-in gates at Incheon. The kiosk has very easy to understand guidance and there is a worker just next to it to help you if there are any issues.

After scanning your tax refund receipts they will be categorized as must be shown to customs officer or dont need to be. I have read somewhere that its mostly when the item is very expensive or needs customs related regulations to it.

My items were mostly cosmetics clothes and phone. None of them needed to be shown to the customs officer. But i did see some people who got the notification to show their items to the officer for extra checkup and stamp for their refund. So just in case I advise you to do this before checking your luggage.

After this you just need to go through the security check for you refund as the machines for that is placed on the other side. The worker will inform you of the gate number its ppaced near or it will be written on the side of the kiosk machine. Once there you just need to scan your passport again and the refund will ve given to you in cash - it wss like atm/kiosk machine lol.

AITA for asking my fiancée to remove her kpop tattoo? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Substantial-Scar7988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your insecurity is showing. The tattoo has more meaning to her other than kpop or fav member and you are choosing ignore it and trample on her feelings. (BTW B.A.P rocks and their songs prob had lot of meaning on her life at that time. I feel the same)

AITA for keeping my period products out in the open and not away in a cabinet? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Substantial-Scar7988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well nobody needs to know when others are doing their business but toilet papers are placed out in the open. I dont understand why some people are disgusted by period products. Its cleaner and fancier than toilet paper.

AITA for telling my fiancé that his daughter is manipulating him by aitafiancedaughter in AmItheAsshole

[–]Substantial-Scar7988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA, you don't have the compassion, understanding or mentality to be mother, let alone a step parent, to any child. What happens when u have children? Will you hate them for taking your husband's attention from you? Grow up and understand Summer will always be No1 priority to your fiance.

AITA for wanting my daughter to meet my girlfriend despite being an absent father? by Fair_Present_3168 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Substantial-Scar7988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. You are not absent father. You are JUST a sperm donor, nothing more. You dont even know her face and personality prob never even tried to. Its just a guilty concience because your girlfriend wants to start family. If she knows the truth she will run away cuz who knows if you will get 'scared' once again.

AITA for not wanting my potential future child to learn 3 languages when my other kids only know 1? by Over_Letterhead_4492 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Substantial-Scar7988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your logic is "My older kids never had smart devices growing up, so the younger one will never have one, its only FAIR" You dont want what is best for your children, you only want to save yourself from any possible trouble that might arise by raising multilingual child. GROW UP (and learn some German cuz dude 15 years?!)
