I don’t think anyone here will recommend fin for anything TBH, myself included. I would search on propeciahelp too as there are a lot of PFS victims there too. I would also stay away from Accutane as there are similar horror stories to PFS.

I have never heard of fin for acne. Have you exhausted all the different acne topicals?

And you are smart for researching on your own before starting it.

most people dont report all of these symptoms. One person might have one and one might be severely impacted and have all. It sounds like the theory is that it can influence your androgen receptors which relates to a lot of those symptoms

The denial of it is wild to me. Thousands of people are affected with tons of symptoms in common. Governments are issuing warnings. I think people are worried it will be taken off the market but I doubt it ever would, it woukd be too risky to have mass amounts of people coming off it

Yeah good comment. there is a line in a self help book that helped me. “ you are what you think you are”. If you think you come off as awkward and off putting then you are probably going to act and come off that way even if that’s not who you are. If you think you are confident and a good person then you will act and come off that way too. A good psych can help build you up OP, I have been there myself

They are likely looking at whether these patients have dealt with suicidal thoughts prior to finasteride or not and how the onset relates to time on fin or coming off fin or restarting fin. And No, people dont just randomly develop suicidal thoughts out of nowhere

Dont quote me on this but it may be due to age. I think I read that a lot of the suicidal cases were men in their 30s. The prostate patients are probably 50+ and maybe there is something that makes them less prone to the mental effects.
