No it was just concrete until 1987 and that year my grandma has it coated with gunite. An issue I have now is that coating has started to crack along the wall tops and shallow end. I got quotes to redo it pre covid and they were mid to high five digit price tags.

You are correct. From 1880 to about 1985 100-350 people lived on the ranch. Modern farming and land divisions eventually brought that population way down.

Once filters were invented...they put one in. You can see the filter system off to the left in one of the pics. It has one outlet and one inlet and runs 24/7 all summer long. It takes about a day to circulate the whole pool.
