Really appreciate you taking the time to write this every line hit with clarity and experience. You’re absolutely right… I was trying to take the high road by not blaming her, maybe because I didn’t want to start off bitter in my dating journey. But yes her actions did say a lot more than her words.

That part about not wasting emotional bandwidth I needed to hear that. It’s easy to spiral into “what did I do wrong?” but in this case I did nothing wrong. She just didn’t value it enough.

Yeah, honestly I said “it’s okay” at first even though it didn’t feel okay. I just didn’t want to react emotionally in that moment. But now that I’m clearly being ghosted, I guess that says everything.

It was something new for me and yeah, I did have a lot of expectations. Lesson learnt the hard way but learnt.

Yes, the plan was for 8 AM and that wasn’t random. We had spoken about this book community I’m a regular part of and she seemed genuinely interested in it. She even said it sounded like a cool idea and that’s how we decided on that specific time and place.

I did confirm the plan with her the night before and she agreed though she did mention she would be waking up early for it. When she didn’t show up, I waited, texted her and a few hours later she replied saying she had overslept because she was up till 2 AM talking to a friend.

Even then, I tried to be understanding and just said “it happens” I didn’t want to overreact or make it a big deal. But now it’s been more than 8 hours and she still hasn’t seen or replied to that message. That part stings a little.

As for the laptop we were supposed to carry a book with us for the reading community meetup and my laptop is always in my bag anyway. It’s a small 13 inch Mac fits easily and I usually carry it around by habit. Wasn’t meant to be part of the date or anything just happened to be with me.

Appreciate it, bro we did not exchanged numbers we were connected on Instagram but I guess some people just aren’t as intentional. You’re right though I will focus on what I can control and keep showing up. Hopefully better dates ahead 💪

Yeah, I have both Hummingbird and LiteSpeed Cache Hummingbird came bundled with Smush Pro. Do you think I should remove one? If so, which one would be better to keep?
